I'm not an audiophile so I can't really comment on the technical aspects of this headset. All I know is the sound - for me - coming out of these drivers are clear, especially when playing games. There were clearer, ambient sounds in my Overwatch games coming thru the headset that were not present in my old Logitech speakers.
The build quality also feels sturdy and refined. The headset feels very comfy on my ears and head overall. I don't feel anything being pinched or cramped as with my old Razer Banshee StarCraft II headset. It also drowns out a lot of background noise. The black and red scheme fits my theme well and at a sale price of $99.99 CAD, it was a good value for me.
Have a $100 budget for a gaming headset? GET. THESE. HEADPHONES. their quality is outstanding and never get hot. Its padding is a very comfortable memory foam. it is not 7.1, hallelujah.
This headset is awesome. I feels comfortable for long sessions of play time and does not squeeze my head. Overall sound quality is great for really anything IMO.
Happy with this purchase. Seems to be one of the lower-key products when it comes to headsets, despite the popularity of the brand HyperX. The 7.1 is def. gimmicky and I don't really utilize it too much but it's there if you need it. This headset is by far the most comfortable headset I've ever used in my life. Literally feels like I'm wearing 2 pillows on my ears. Played for well over 5 hours at a time and many times I forget that I'm even wearing them. I wear glasses too and this headset doesn't mess with that which I can't claim for a lot of other headsets I've used in my life. The cord is kinda too long and looks clumsy just lying there, but it doesn't get tangled and the cord is really high quality so don't need to worry about it tearing.
