This case is amazing. Turn the fans down to low and it's virtually silent in my setup (all SSDs), and it still keeps everything cool to boot. It won't muffle a super loud hard drive much, but I haven't seen a case that can.

from completed build Tobias... you blowhard!
What a great case. Built to be intuitive, easy to configure, cable management was a DREAM, love that I could toss out the HDD trays. If the Define S had been around when I first built this, I might have gone for that instead, but I still love this thing. Even if the LED light on front is a little too bright :p

from completed build The silent beast (a.k.a I finally built a PC!)
I love this case, simple. I wanted a non flashy stylish case that was silent. This fits all of those requirements perfectly. It is easy to work inside the case, and the cable management is awesome out of the box!

A really lovely Mid-Sized case that even has its own section of the case in the back panel made for cable management. Customization is another key to have the ability to take off panels, unscrew HDD trays if needed.

Simplistic, elegant design, all around awesome case with great growth potential inside. I use classic air cooling at the moment, but I might upgrade to water-cooling as the case is begging for it. Thanks to it size and configurations, airflow is great, noise is nigh nothing (the only thing I ever hear is my optical drive checking out itself). If you prefer shiny illuminated extravagant rigs, this might not be the best choice. However should you want a polite beast, with excellent cable management, go for it!
Oh, and on an important side note: the case is heavy. 11 kg on its own. It's not for travelling types.

This case could have been my favorite part of this system had it not been for the 950 pro coming out. I wanted a high quality case that was easy to build in and was very very quiet. I had visited my local Microcenter to help me decide on a case and was very disappointed to find they didn't have this case on display although they had several in stock. In fact there were no Fractal Design cases on display. I found out that due to limited shelf space they fill the spots with cases from companies that pay them to display their cases. The reviews of this case were very positive especially for building a quiet system so I purchased it sight unseen. It has a dense material on the outer walls that hold in the sound very well. It also has vibration dampers for the rotating drives. The air intakes are filtered with easily removable for cleaning filters. It is easy to reconfigure the drive cages or remove them completely to help air flow as I did with the 5 bay gage. This is definitely a premium product. Microcenter didn't have it on display but they did do a price match to that eggy online reseller. Doing a clean build in this case was so easy it really felt like cheating.

Nice and quiet. Solid case with easy cable management. Very simple to build with this case. I originally wanted to build with the blackout edition of this case but there were none in stock when I purchased the parts from the local Micro Center. This was the only part that I had to compromise, because of availability. I am very impatient, I was determined to get everything that day and start the build that same day, so one compromise didn't deter me.

Phenomenal solid case. Only slightly let down by lack of USB-C but I don't think that was even a thing when it came out.
