GeIL does actually make some decent memory, but this is the worst DDR4 memory I own. I'm embarrassed that I actually bought this, especially for the price I paid (roughly at the peak of high RAM prices, late 2017/early 2018, I think). I don't even know why I bought it, but I wish I hadn't. It uses Micron ICs and barely runs at its rated speed and timings (tested on both AMD and Intel platforms). I can't get one extra MHz (MT/s) out of it, let alone tighten up the timings. I definitely have better luck with Hynix and, of course, Samsung (particularly B-die, but also E-die) when it comes to overclocking. I have another GeIL kit (DDR4-2133) that uses Hynix chips and I can run it at 3200 MT/s without issue. Luck of the draw and I lost with this crappy kit.
