Glorious card. Unless you are using a GPU intensive game/program it is either completely silent or extremely quiet. Occasional coil whine but never very loud. A buddy has the same card and he has never had any coil whine. (Yes I am sure it is the GPU and not something else)
This thing is very fast. The EVGA ACX cooler is very good. It keeps the card very cool even when overclocked. I can get the card up around 1500mhz core clock. with a little voltage applied. If there is no voltage applied then I definitely get driver crashes.
I love this card; it's super quiet and has run everything super smooth on ultra settings. As soon as one goes on sale I'm going to buy a second one and SLI these bad boys. No top plate though...
Dont know what to say realy. Awesome video card, that's it. I got alot of FPS on all the game I play at max settings. I am really glad about my choise so far!
This card will chew through anything. I currently play at 4k with most games almost maxed out, without aa of course. I would highly recommend this card. It's quiet, power efficient, and just an overall powerhouse.
This is an amazing card. The difference between it and the GTX 970 is amazing-still not quite worth the extra $150, but still. It supports DX12, can crank out 100+FPS on most games @ 1080p max, and runs amazingly quiet unless I intentionally jack up the fans with a program like MSI Afterburner. It also overclocks quite well, it seems!
In addition, it offers lots of upgrade potential because I can SLI it with a second 980 later on, or use EVGA's step up program to upgrade to 980Ti for a discounted price.
