Works well, build quality seems high. One audio capacitor interfered with the tab on my GTX 1070. Also my 7700k would only boost to 4.4 GHz in default out of box settings.
For a well-built high quality itx motherboard, the price is very reasonable. The board not only looks great, but also features everything that I was looking for, especially a Thunderbolt 3 port, M2 SSD slot, 4K60Hz HDMI 2.0, and AC Wifi. BIOS is also fairly easy to navigate, with auto OC button for those who do not want to tinker around too much. This increases my 7700K CPU clock speed nominally to 4.6 GHz. HD audio output via mini-TOSLINK to front audio port on your case (outputs 7.1 channels) and also TOSLINK in the back (supposed to be able to do compressed 5.1 channels but I only get 2 channel PCM somehow). Would buy again in a heartbeat.
This board here is a beaut, the best z270 Mini-ITX. It's got all the important options and none of the BS. A rock solid OC'er, super easy to build on. Seriously, most Mini-ITX boards have stupid layouts for things like USB headers, the ASRock has everything in spots that make sense. The on board Wifi is very solid. The BIOS is well organized and easy to use. Highly recommended.
I had this shipped from the US this they yet to have it in Australia. It's a really board with lots of features without compromising the price. I've paired my motherboard heat sink to black just so that it matches with my build.
I put this in a Node 202 and it works great. All headers are conveniently located and make cable management a breeze. http://imgur.com/a/52R7l
This board has everything: onboard WiFi/BT, USB Type-C, Thunderbolt 3, six SATA ports, an 8-phase VRM, and all of its fan headers are PWM-capable. The only things I don't like are the ugly I/O shield (solid black would be better), and that there's no front M.2 slot like on the Asus Z270i.
Wanted to get a Z270 board to ensure maximum compatibility with the 7700k and avoid having to do bios flashes out of the gate. This board was a simple install and ASRock is a little more no-frills then I would like missing a few of the niceties of an Asus board install but it works great
I have used this and the ASUS Z270I board and I can tell you hands down that this is the board you want. Yes, the red is not my first choice but this is just more stable and faster than the ASUS and is often cheaper.
