from completed build Ryzen 9 3900X Workstation & Gaming Build
Good for its price, although it can suffer from some noise when being used with 3.5mm connection. Works perfectly on optical though. Allows for signal to be mixed down 7.1 to 2 channels with Dolby Headphone via optical, which is not a matter of course. Can't live without that for games so I just use it for that as a DSP.
Installing the UNI Xonar audio driver is recommended since that provides some more options. Beware though, there are some buggy versions out. Make sure to read up on its website.
from completed build Gaming PC Late 2016
Great soundcar. Weird driver problems (****** asus drivers, so im using alternative drivers) This card was also used in my 2 older builds.
from completed build Budget gaming build/ Work station (Aka The Black Panther)
I'm so incredibly happy with this card. Its affordable and is a great introduction to working with audio. Its a huge improvement over the on-board sound and I feel like this card should be in every PC. Great for the money. I still would've been happy if I paid double. Improves sound 10 fold. Lets you enable surround and supports 5.1 and 7.1 audio.
from completed build Optimus Prime
I wasn't sure I really needed a sound card, but having finished the build, man am I glad I picked this up! The difference in audio output is laughable. Not that the motherboard's built-in audio is anything to sneeze at, but this card just cranks everything up to 11. Awesome buy for the price, and honestly it would probably still have been worth it at double the cost I got it for.
from completed build First PC v1.1
Would give 5 if the driver wasn't such a pain to find and install. I spent nearly 3 days working on it to get audio working for any length of time. After I got that sorted out everything works great and my audio throughput is super clear.
from completed build Penumbra v2
It's a great little sound card. Gives 5.1 audio, plus controls for multichannel audio. Helpful if you want surround sound, or true 5.1 audio for games/movies.
from completed build Phantastic first gaming computer!
Paired with the Logitech z506, my whole room shakes when I play games.
from completed build First Budget Build! aka The Death Star!
Software takes a bit of getting used to but easy install and great sound quality.
from completed build The Bargain Bin
I really don't need one of these, but I will say that it makes my ATH-M40X's sound a bit better and add more bass to them.
