Nice build :) If you was going to choose an air cooler over the aio which would you have chosen for this build and why?
Thanks, I thought it would have been an issue but I have an electric blower, I give it a once over before I start her up :)
Thanks mate :) I really like the evga powerlink, I have nothing bad to say about it. The build quality seems fine and works how it should
Haha will do and thanks :)
Yeah it's great, it needed calibrating slightly and an icc profile downloading. The 144hz gsync is awesome!
I don't worry about dust to be honest. I have an electrical blower (designed for pc dusting) a quick blast with that and it's done
Yep it is and it's great!
Thanks dude. It's a evga powerlink. All our does is it shifts the position of your gpu cables. It proved useful for me because the position of the gromit on the case and the length of the gpu it was quote akward without it and didn't look right
Thanks buddy :)
Gorgeous build and congrats on the featured build :) +1
Did you have any trouble with the Thermaltake riser cable?
Fractal design GP-14's
Hi and thanks , I used the NZXT Grid to power all of my fans
Sorry for delayed message but it's fixed now I reset windows and it works fine now. Cheers
Hi and thanks! I used Fractal designs dynamic GP14's 140mm
Yes I believe so. Thanks
This interests me very much so but I wouldn't know what a good/popular MMO is and what the majority of people here play.
Hi, sorry for the late response I've not been on for a while..... With regards to your recent input the fans I have installed are:
3x fractal design GP14's intake
1x fractal design GP 14 exhaust
2x corsair af120's roof exhaust
This was my first build so feel free to take a look. Thanks :)
Hi thanks for the replies guys, everything is working fine now but thanks anyway :)
How do you uninstall the old catalyst driver before installing the new crimson driver?
oh ok, would it be worth updating the driver and using a nexus mod to fix the compass issue on fallout 4?
I'm not sure if people who are using the same driver that I'm using have had issues with their GPU fan speeds but mine seems to be ok I have a custom fan curve set and it seems to work ok.
I rolled it back I didn't realise there was a mod to fix it.
It certainly was :)
Only thing I can advise you on really is do your research on parts etc... and set yourself a budget. If your unsure make sure you ask in the PCPP forums! :)
Hi thanks for your comment :) when my build is due for an upgrade in a few years I'll try my hand at an unlocked CPU when I'm a bit more experienced and a new mobo :)
I know smh haha if I built another I feel confident enough to say that I could do it quicker now ;)
I'd like to get it a bit neater at the back of the case someday too and thanks :)
Thanks! But I'm not sure what you mean?
Thank you and yes I agree to, It wasn't for the performance, just the aesthetics the stock cooler is quite ugly :)
Hi MetaphysicalEngineer & Silveth sorry for the late reply - Thanks for the great advice I'll certainly been using it! :)
Ok thanks guys :)
That i5 6600 is never in stock at Amazon UK @ £155 - You'll be looking at around £180 - £190. I went for the 6500 for £157
I didn't know, I'm very new to the PC community and a bit lost tbh :P
How long should each test last for? On the GPU & CPU? are there any particular settings that need to be used within each programme?
Thanks for the recommendation, I think I'll use Furmark as it has its own temp monitoring built in :)
What cleaning tools would you recommend?
Other than AV software what else do people install I know it sounds a bit vague but I'm really new to all this.
Thank you very much!!! :)
On both the VGA cables the connectors are 6+2 connectors.
So I have one end plugged into VGA 1 on the PSU the other end will go into the 8 pin socket on the GFX card.
So do I have to use the 2nd VGA cable that came with the PSU plug it into VGA 2 and then just use the 6 pin connector?
Ok thanks for the info :)
Makes no difference to me I'll just buy windows 10 for £70. Job done
Yeah I have a laptop with Internet access. As I'm really new to the pc building community when it comes to downloading drivers, I'm guessing I just download the latest one(s)?
Oh nice did you config the graphic settings yourself or did you see a vid somewhere as I could do with knowing what you've used.
I've got all my parts for my build except the GPU which I'll be ordering on Sunday how has the 390 been performing for you in Fallout 4? I've seen some benchmarks on YouTube and it looks like its optimised towards Nvidia
Ok thanks mate
Sorry with bombarding you with questions but why have you chosen a Z170 mobo with the 6500? Or am I missing something?
