The 980 Ti is the same or slightly faster than the 1070 when Linus tested it in a comparison vid
Always go dual-channel memory for Ryzen, especially for APUs and 'first gen' chips
This build has great potential given you can find an LGA 1155 cpu for a reasonable price
You don't need a 200-series board to use Kaby Lake CPUs, especially if you buy them new
If you wanted to keep expandability as an option, a B350 board would have been a better choice to squeeze more performance out of the CPU.
I see Euros for pricing. does this server also have the purpose of storing illegal memes?
I agree completely. Overpriced 1060, not even the best AM3+ CPU, $50 for a ketchup PSU, he really screwed up. You wait for deals and go for used GPUs, not $70 for a cheap AM3+ motherboard or $290 for a 1060.
You way overpaid for that 1060. I would have gone with a used GPU.
They found something that worked and did not keep it innovative. They pulled a Ford and cancelled all but the Mustang and Focus Active.
A classic case of success found, and not suitably followed up (market domination for NES and Wii). They are like the Big Three in cars, they kill things too quickly and never make the successful thing better.
Nintendo probably was lazy and wanted to save money by going for a GameCube based system, and then doing nothing to support it past 2009.
You should have saved yourself some money with a good used GPU. You paid way too much for that 1050 Ti even if you bought it on sale.
Ah. Skylake i3 builds were the way to go long before Ryzen, then the fake improvement called kAbY lAkE intruded.
But it is one thicc GPU
It's always nice to see veteran components be rededicated to the youth. +1
Exactly. Wii is refreshed GameCube, but better.
Hm. I will take a look into it sometime. How does it use games (download, disc conversion)?
Do you have a recommendation? All I want is good value for money.
No, I'll use my black Wii with a remote that has motion control acting up recently.
That Marijuana aroma should help your GTA San Andreas frame rates ;)
Really cool to see a Mac Pro kicking around, +1
Interesting choice to go with the 1900X, +1 for that.
Wii is better. +1
Nice finds! +1
Why an anime reskin of a disk benchmark?
Mining these days is a sin
Who would buy a Switch?? Wii is better man.
That's a Zotac non Z-series chipset motherboard, right?
How much more was it to get the Gaming X card instead of the cheapest 1050 Ti?
You certainly proved those brand specific people wrong! I hate it when people go for brand specific boards or cards, because the difference is negligible in quality (to me at least).
I see 512 in the name of your video card, which does it mean another RX 560 - 896 or 1024 debacle has happened?
You wish for Nvidia driver update that places the full 4gb on the 224-bit bus?
The Ryzen 5 2400G with an overclocked CPU + GPU (with the full allowed 2gb in bios) is a competent alternative to a GPU at this time. I watched JayzTwoCents' video btw
Skylake is the exact same as Kaby Lake.
Wait for normal Ryzen price cut
I would get a cheaper non-Samsung SSD, and a used GPU to avoid abominable pricing.
You are getting a tower cooler anyways, so get the non X version and save yourself some money.
I'd do what Science Studio did with his friend's FX stock cooler . . .
They covered something they have covered multiple times before. If they cannot think of something inside of their Nvidia shill brains, post nothing.
It's one of those mATX I would get no doubt, but these days I would settle for some Cooler Master thing.
After 2019, when DDR4 prices might stabilize (more fabs)
I would rather a mix of new and used parts, RIP DDR4 prices until 2019
Linus would be triggered if he saw your Vega GPU. +1 for it though idiots are running about trashing it.
I had to put up with the Wii and a Pentium III PC, but they are glorious (RIP PC recycle).
Always nice to give your parents a new rig! +1
Wonder what the Ryzen APUs will bring. Personally, only the APUs are worth the new platform (unless it has more improvements that Skylake to Laby Kake).
