I find it interesting how you rate a lot of your items well but then give a low star count, I don't know just found it interesting.

Uh even with a stock cooler my cpu doesn't hit that hot.. it did when I realized I had installed it wrong but jeez.. and I don't have any working fans in my case either .

This must be a PC build from hell or something... at least you pushed through I suppose, nice job.

customgtp's Completed Build: Lian-Li Modest Budget Build $800

BuildBoy12 1 Build 1 point 1 month ago

On the note of water cooling however, what skill cap would you say would match hard line? I would LOVE to do one in the future and soft tubing doesn't do it justice in my opinion.

customgtp's Completed Build: Lian-Li Modest Budget Build $800

BuildBoy12 1 Build 1 point 1 month ago

I do really like the look of this case. Though personally, if I go for it, I would get the DX version because I'm less of a white case person, but the white/red look here really worked out.

customgtp's Completed Build: Lian-Li Modest Budget Build $800

BuildBoy12 1 Build 1 point 1 month ago

Wow. That simply looks amazing, though for 22 completed builds I suppose this is about par. Cheers.

Tyro1453's Completed Build: My First Gaming Rig

BuildBoy12 1 Build 3 points 1 month ago

performs well considering I only have a 1050 ti (I opted for a cheaper graphics card as I want to get a much more expensive one relatively soon

I was dying when I saw the 1050ti/8700k preview in the completed builds section but I got ya. Nice build.

Sujo's Completed Build: My First Build Ever! $1500 gaming setup and budget pc

BuildBoy12 1 Build 1 point 1 month ago

Actually, there is the Corsair iCUE software that you can use to control your macros MUCH easier than the onboard macro record button. It comes up with a bit more RGB customization too. Though it only lets you sync with other Corsair products as far as I'm aware.

BuildBoy12 1 Build 1 point 1 month ago

I know the question wasn't asked to me but give my opinion I shall. I have the same keyboard and at first had some problems with the LEDs for the caps lock num lock etc. but they went away (kind of) with time. Other than that it's a nicer keyboard and hasn't broken (yet).

For the overwatch crashing issue it could be drivers. If you're running DX12 you could try DX11 since JayzTwoCents was having issues with DX12 recently. Though it was on a Nvidia card that he tested, but no hurt in trying. Nice build though, may it serve you well.

Darkhalo314's Completed Build: My First Gaming PC

BuildBoy12 1 Build 0 points 1 month ago

Heck I can run fine with my 1060 on 1080p60 and be fine, but for a 9900k/2080 build to be running on the same panel ESPECIALLY for video editing and gaming is just.. wrong. Other than this fact alone, decent build.

I almost fell off my chair laughing when I saw the name of the mouse. Good thing you got the Gaming mouse wired for PC Gamer. Anyhow nice build, may it serve you well.

The feel of the k55 is very nice, but its feel to a mechanical keyboard is not comparable. Mechanical would take the win, but the k55 is still a nice keyboard.

ISHIKILL's Completed Build: My first build - mini ITX

BuildBoy12 1 Build 1 point 1 month ago

The only thing that I could remotely criticize here is the chosen ram, considering the speed and CAS. For a first build in 27 years, you definitely did extremely well compared to what I've seen/done. Well built.

Mlewis7628's Completed Build: Personal Rig #2

If you haven't tried a manual overclock to get the ram to 3000Mhz, then I'd try that. XMP isn't always your best bet.

Even getting a budget one like my adata is an incredible difference, no matter what hard drive you have. I'd just get a smaller sized one for your windows, then you will understand.

Non SLI for virtual machine dedication. GPUs are one 1080ti a 1060 6gb and a RX 580. The case is the Phanteks - Enthoo Pro TG RGB ATX Full Tower Case which I would be filling every fan spot with Noctua fans.

I mean obviously the 8700k emits a constant 110C if you do not delid and that is clearly without any overclocks and with its turbo boost off, duh.

On Fortnite my 1060 6gb can do all epic with shadows on high 1920x1080 windowed fullscreen and still get around 120 fps throughout gameplay, so all low shouldn't be in question.
