It runs at 3.6Ghz because its that cpu's turbo speed not because of the motherboard

Yes, Coffee Lake. I do know that actually. Dumb on their part I feel like since the socket hasn't even been out long but I want to upgrade so I'm willing to buy a new mobo with it

I'll check into them but the main reason I went with these corsair fans other than just being good quality Is because I was shooting for a black and white build and the white rings accent the build very well

I would've gone with the 7600k too but I built mine a year ago so the 6600k just came out at that time. I wouldn't go with amd personally (I'm no fanboy for either) just because amd tends to get less fps in games than intel. Thank you!

Built it a year ago before Ryzen came out. My CPU is rarely pinned at 100% and if it is then so is my my 1070 showing that my 6600k not being bottlenecked. A 6700k would be a steal at that price but I will want the newest line

I built it a year ago before before Ryzen ever came out and I wanted a 1070 and like I said in the description, I returned three of them before getting that one. I would've still gone with an intel CPU even if I just built it though considering intel CPU's tend to get you more fps than Ryzen. Thank you though. Took 5 hours to just change from my last case to that one because I had to make it look perfect

I did trade it in for the hybrid and yes it was worth it. I got 2 different aircooled 1070's and both had bad coild whine under any amount of loud then I got the hybrid and it had no coil whine at all and I've never seen it exceed 44c. Well worth the little extra money

Higher fps, lower temps, a newer platform with ddr4 and newer/better motherboards with far more features

Comment reply on oneflygtiguy's Completed Build: Sublime

That cpu is literally just an overclocked 8320. You could've gotten a far superior intel cpu for higher fps and ddr4
