Andre21's Completed Build: AMD Ryzen 1600

ComputerBlooperNoob 2 points 5 months ago

About the B-die ram, apparently a new bios update from AMD came out for support for much types of ram. Even hynix is clocking 3000mhz+

I guess b-die is still the way to go if you want guaranteed speeds though...

bmorgan's Completed Build: Project Walking Dead

ComputerBlooperNoob 3 points 8 months ago

Man, it really pains me to say this, but the expensive AIO, motherboard, and ram could've been ditched for a GTX 1070 (wayyy faster than the RX 460, probably going to be better than the rx 580 too).

Edit: we all know it is you dad :p

Hey thanks for the reply :D I was going to buy the case, but since the s340 is cheap now, I've decided to go with that.

How well does the 212 EVO fit in the case? (I know its been more than 2 years, just need to know xD)

I know it's been a year, but how much space do you have left with the Hyper T4 cooler? Do you think I'd be able to fit a 4mm taller cooler in this case?

Ok thanks!

Forum Topic "NZXT Source 220 Drive Cages - do I have to take all of them out at once?"

ComputerBlooperNoob submitter 1 point 16 months ago

None taken :) it's just very misleading for new builders like me. The specs say up to 230mm. So just to clear up, I can use any 10.5 inch card on any ATX case without removing drive bays? Particularly this one.

Forum Topic "NZXT Source 220 Drive Cages - do I have to take all of them out at once?"

ComputerBlooperNoob submitter 1 point 16 months ago

Hmm... The description says it can support 330 mm with its drive cage removed...

Just saying he could have got something better...

BrianTMcG's Completed Build: Build No. 7: My second MicroATX build

ComputerBlooperNoob 1 point 40 months ago

Also, why do you need such a big ssd? A 256gb is normaly enough, and that money could have gone towards a i7.

I'm pretty sure the Bitfenix Prodigy (Mini ITX) is bigger than this case...

EDIT: Just saw the price tag. Definitely should have atleast gone for a Atx Mid Tower...

Blog Post "More Than Building Computers"

ComputerBlooperNoob 3 points 41 months ago

There's this thing going around. Today I was just telling a kid not to waste water at a water fountain. Everyone wants to make the world a better place, not just for them, but everyone. Philip doesn't take donation money and keep it for himself. Instead, he goes out of his way to help people, all the way in Africa!
