Hey Mathew, no worries :)
The truth is that although I do a lot of design work it's mostly AT work so it wasn't a priority when creating the build. That being said, I did consider going up to the i7. It's likely an upgrade that I'll consider making in the future.
Since the build I've picked up the Asus 28" 4k monitor and it's been a gem to game on. I highly suggest it.
I've had absolutely zero issues. I'm running completely stable with the SLI Ti's OC'd and CPU up to 4.2
Haven't played C3 yet. I'll update after I get the game. Playing TitanFall, though, and at max settings my cards have little to no issue with it, though I haven't paid attention to fps. Will update later tonight.
Thanks :) I purchased the Phanteks cooler before deciding to get more than 1 780 ti. I'll likely replace it with water cooling in the future. Next purchase for me will be a gsync monitor though!
Nice call on the Nepton. The first two things I bought were the CPU cooler and the case; in hindsight I agree that spending a bit more on both might have been a good idea considering the $ I ended up spending.
I was concerned about the Toshiba SSD because I hadn't really been able to find any info about them, either. That being said, I've had really good R/W times so far - it certainly seems to be doing fine. Boot time is around 8 seconds or so in Windows 8.1.
At the moment I have a rather less than impressive 24" LG screen but I'm planning on running an ASUS ROG Swift PG278Q or PB287Q when it comes out in May.
I'll was planning on running an ASUS ROG Swift PG278Q when it comes out in May. That being said, I'm interested in the PB287Q and possibly adding GSync to it. For the time being I have a rather less than impressive 24" screen. I could only afford so much at once :)
Thanks for catching that; I updated the description to explain.
Personally, I'd say so. I don't hear anything more than a slight hum even during gaming. I just played a few hours of Assassins Creed 4 and Day Z and didn't hear the system ramp up at all.
Truth be told, it was an accident. I got the cooler without realizing the colour and then was kinda stuck. I don't mind red and black though :p
My bad, the photos were taken during the process of putting it all together. I assure you the bridge is on them now.
Thanks very much!
Thanks! Surprisingly quiet. I'm quite happy with them
Thanks! I had considered it after the fact; bit too late. I'm quite happy with the temps so far though.
To be fair, I placed an order with them on the 20th and am still waiting for the order to be shipped (though it has been processed).
I've had good experiences with NCIX in the past, though, so I'm letting this ride for a bit.
Thanks again.. Just wanted to be sure :)
Thanks very much. Is there a reason you chose the CSM over the CX PSU?
Awesome, thanks! I swapped out the 280x to the MSI GeForce GTX 770
