this is horrific, i love it, never change your ways
Nice! Thank you for your help!
Thank you for the helpful information! I'm reading up on these as i type this. I do have one more question though, how would i interconnect a bunch of vms?
Its a controller issue, i cant swap controllers because its the only one i have.
Evga for price, msi for performance, asus for clout
2600 with 1050
It might be able to run minecraft on lowest settings if you overclock the front I/O kek
For people from ages 13-19 the recommended amount of sleep is 9-10 hours, which (in my case) is not practical, i log around 6-7 hours of sleep, I wake up at 5:30 though, and feel like crap everyday. it's more about when you wake up than it is about your total hours slept, however loss of sleep becomes apparent and blatantly terrible at the <4 hour level, so get at least 5 if you want to survive the next day. I also end up sleeping like an hour in school too.
I'll check it out. Thanks!
Would that be enough for gaming?
already have the motherboard, (AM4) and i dont have money to buy anything in general right now, so that is out, thanks though!
yeah, and one kid somehow got on the school wifi, and blamed the intrusion on me, sooooooooooooooooooooooo they wouldnt trust me either (the kid got in trouble but they still are super paranoid)
The ideas you presented would be challenging since my parents are reluctant to do anything for me in this field, but thank you for your suggestions and I will try my best to think of a solution like you said!
They might trust me with that because the staff knows i'm good with computers and i have helped them on numerous occasions because they don't even have an IT Staff person (Private school) however, they might not consider it because they are so tightly budgeted and they can't even hire a teacher for my math class so i'm stuck with substitutes if they even show up.
only thing out of those i could even try would be the bulk candy thing but i dont have money to do that and the world's Cheapest(TM) vending machine would be my competition.
That's fine, thank you!
That's fine, thanks for the suggestions! i only chose 1600x for the higher clock speed and so i dont have a heatsink lying around. I don't intend on overclocking
walmarts near me hire at minimum 16, and when i say i don't have money for a computer, i mean i dont have money at all, my parents certainly wont buy me a lawnmower when my stepdad can just bring his from work, but i cant use that one for anything because it doesnt belong to my family
alright, thank you!
Thank you for the info! Its a shame how overpriced things are currently
I think that your build is very good for low end gaming, it should suit you fine until gpu prices regulate, when they do, i recommend adding another 8 gigabytes of RAM and getting yourself a 1060 for 1080p 60fps gaming. If you're willing to spend a penny more i would highly recommend you bump the HDD up to a WD Blue, i know that's another 10-20 dollars, but for the higher RPM and the reliability of WD hard drives makes it worth it, HDDs are hard to use when it comes to loading time optimization, so any 7200 RPM would be much better, trust me on that.
I understand all of this, and i suggested tunnel bear to him. While i sympathize and agree with his concerns (but not to the same degree) but what frustrates me is that he doesnt take suggestions from me because "I'm already in the palm of their hands" when the opposite is true. I use the platform. but i've found ways to make sure I'm using it, not it using me. But nonetheless, the issue i am presenting, is how do i convey my competence with this subject to my stepfather, or at least deceive him to believe there is no issue with the way we operate on the level we operate. None of us in my family are using the internet in a way which is playing into the hands of the government. Thank you for dedicating your time to my forum post, and i appreciate you taking the time to respond!
Exactly, that's the issue i have with him, like, what is Big Brother going to gain by seeing Jaztwocents and LinusTechTips on my search history?
i think this is the best solution i can do for now, he might try to counter the argument but i dont think he'll succeed.
He wants to pay for a service called "Virtual Shield" and have everyone install it, but i'm not going to, and i dont think that virtual shield is a vpn anyway, but i've brought it up and he thinks its a waste of money even though he spends 200$ on a water filter.
if you live in the US most states allow you to work at places like walmart and such to do grocery bagging or other small tasks, at 14 or 15 (like me) Hour limitations are strict, 3 hours max on a school day, and 18 hours max on a school week, but still, you'd have the money to buy a full system in a month and a half with that schedule. Working during the summer has more opportunities and less strict hour limitations, but have fun trying to find a job, i've searched far and wide and come up with nil. The only way you can truly know whether a place will hire you is if you walk in and speak with a manager. Best of luck!
I used to live half an hour from Boston, i only got into computers when i moved away, so i missed prime opportunity visits to Microcenter, the closest to me is like 3 states away
i see them in 6 packs, but i dont need 6 i just need 1 like wtf. But do you know where any availability is for these cards?
Thank you for letting me know about my PSU, I'll switch the GPU also!
nice build! I like your approach towards building a computer, using parts that can fight above their weight class and being optimistic on future upgrades. Well done!
amazing build! wish i had the money, time, and patience to do that, also. CAT
i would go with at least a 1070, 1070ti would be good also and worth the price jump
spend less on the case and go for the 500gb variant of the mx300 ssd, which is only 15$ more expensive, so might as well, also you could buy a hella long ethernet cable for cheaper than getting a wifi card
Do you know any good models/brands?
Thank you so much!
i don't know whether you are planning on putting at least a 1080 in there later on but.... to have spent so much money on all of the other parts and skimp on the GPU isnt the best budgeting you could have done... good otherwise though.
you would have had more performance if you got a 1080ti instead of a 1080 but this build is sweet!
Thank you all for responding to my forum topic, I'll take all of your advice into consideration!
Neither Google Fiber nor Spectrum service my new house
They're literally the worst provider on the customer service end, i mean, there's nothing wrong with their WiFi except for the fact that it's moderately overpriced. But it's impossible to get them to help you with stuff. 23+ hours logged on phone to REMOVE A PHONE LINE. idk, it's frustrating to deal with them and it would be a million times better if we didnt have to get WiFi from them
I'm unsure, but i know for a fact it's nothing too fancy
Any RAM with 2666-3200 Mhz speed and 24-32 GB looks good if you dont mind spending a little - but from the looks of your build you don't.
