Good choice on the 1080, but you should throw something more demanding at it than PUBG and WoW. Really nice build.
Your parts list doesn't mention an SSD but you say you are getting another one? If you have most of your programs on the SSD they should be loading relatively quickly. After a few years of using mine I have become more impatient, however, when ripping large files so I think I may go for an m.2 as well.
takes the cereal out of the box first to check for toys, gets a pc
Tell me again why you needed 90g of thermal compound.
Nice, you took my suggestion :D
Your build is amazing btw, +1 even if those cables make my spine shiver XD
Name her Shockwave.
Really nice build! In the part list it says you have a 280x but in the pictures it is a 280, you should probably fix that. +1 from me.
So I'm debating between an r9 290 with a g10 and h55 mod or a 970... The price difference is huge and I don't see a big gain in performance... Is the 970 really worth it? Or should I wait for 3xx series?
There were cables in there?
"only ten dollars a week"
I don't get any money Idk what you are talking about XD
You beat me to it!
Well, I guess you did it better than me anyways, but just wait until I get a custom watercooling loop ;)
Lol yeah I saw the connectors on the mobo.
I just don't like the lack of 3.5" bays on that case, but otherwise amazing build. ;)
So did you actually connect everything or did you just throw it all in the box hoping it will work?
Yeah, your build is extremely clean. Well done! +1
O.O Are there even any cables in there?
A 280x is "entry level" these days?
Well, I'm screwed.
Good decision XD
A dream build for me isn't something that I just pick the best parts on, I pick the parts that are best for me. I couldn't even dream of having something like this.
I would never get a 970 as a gift, my family has no clue what any of "this" is.
Great build, nice cat, I actually like that watercooling solution.
Built it in your kitchen.... +1
Very nice pictures and overall build.
You are the first build over 1k.
You are also the first build over 2.5k.
All the achievements.
Very nice build.
Also, since you are the first build, you get my +1.
Solution: Get something from the Semi-Modular line of PSU's from Corsair. You can get 'em for $20-$40 and they only come with the 24-pin and the 6-pin attached.
"the vram is what matters"
Here we go again...
Do you have 15k lying around?
You see, you assumed he was playing games.
Not all computers are for gaming.
It even says what it's for in the title.
I just.... One does not simply get a CPU more expensive than 90% of the builds on PCPartPicker.
Geez people never heard of a NAS...
Not all PC's are for gaming.
Anyways, amazing build! +1
Gets a $600 780 Ti.
Plays Dota on 1 monitor.
I love you.
Lol sorry I didn't read that quite right.
That doesn't look like the same monitor as listed in your parts list...
I was scrolling through the pictures (as I always do before reading the rationale) and I was starting to notice some similarities to my upcoming build.
"Are those the monitors?" "Holy crap those are the monitors!"
"Is that an Enthoo Primo?" I instantly love this guy
How do you like that monitor? I'm really on the edge about buying it. I could get the same thing for $30 cheaper except it doesn't have the same white bezel.
Is it worth it, or should I just get one that is all black but has the same specs?
That has got to be the best cable management I have EVER seen.
Needs more fans.
I don't see the reasoning behind the 4790k and 16gb of ram for a gaming build. Overkill FTW I guess :D
Anyways, nicely done. Great part choices. +1
Your monitor alone costs more than my DREAM build.
Very well done, my good man. You put a lot of time and effort into this build. We salute you.
I have wet dreams about building a PC like this.
Very nice job, +1
And it is very small.
Great for a mini ITX build like this.
Maybe if some nice man comes along and gives me $4000, maybe then I could do something like this.
Very nice build, acrylic tubing for life, +1
Now, 15 months later, on the top 5 list of this website.
I think people were trying too hard to get it out of the downvoted section.
I actually only get 2.3 taxes per second...
lik dis coment ef u crie vry tim.
I turned rounding to the nearest tenth on, it is running smoothly now.
My triple sli 980's cant handle TurboTax unless the lens flares are turned off.
You mean his new computer wife.
Trust me, he won't be seeing much of his human wife with that 780 Ti.
I don't think you have enough fans.
