Comment reply on DevboCreation's Completed Build: Gaming PC/General Usage/First Build

Good choice on the 1080, but you should throw something more demanding at it than PUBG and WoW. Really nice build. Your parts list doesn't mention an SSD but you say you are getting another one? If you have most of your programs on the SSD they should be loading relatively quickly. After a few years of using mine I have become more impatient, however, when ripping large files so I think I may go for an m.2 as well.

Really nice build! In the part list it says you have a 280x but in the pictures it is a 280, you should probably fix that. +1 from me.

So I'm debating between an r9 290 with a g10 and h55 mod or a 970... The price difference is huge and I don't see a big gain in performance... Is the 970 really worth it? Or should I wait for 3xx series?

Solution: Get something from the Semi-Modular line of PSU's from Corsair. You can get 'em for $20-$40 and they only come with the 24-pin and the 6-pin attached.

How do you like that monitor? I'm really on the edge about buying it. I could get the same thing for $30 cheaper except it doesn't have the same white bezel. Is it worth it, or should I just get one that is all black but has the same specs?
