The GTX 1080 wouldn't be bottle necked unless you would be doing CPU intense work, which wouldn't even be a bottle neck of the GPU, more so the lack of multitasking the i5 has.
If you grind up the Doritos and put them in the liquid cooler does it increase performance?
Pascal is coming out in a few months, why not wait?
Why do you need an $8k computer to play those easy to run games?
Whats wrong with the keyboard?
Why did you pick a free sync monitor over g sync?
Damn what mouse is that. Looks amazing.
Why did you pick the 1TB SSD and a cheap AMD processor over a 500GB and an I5?
+1 for cool desk
So does that mean you bought a desk at IKEA and assembled it at home? Or did you have spare parts lying around and you made one from scratch?
He just changed it recently. Within the last 24 hours.
I don't know if the contest allows mail in rebates to be calculated into the overall cost of the build, might be something to look into considering the price of this build.
He didn't fill out the description for each part and why he picked it. This build is technically disqualified
Should have gotten AMD R9 280 for 200 dollars and alot beter performance.
The G10 is actually pretty cheap. its about 30-40 dollars on newegg (although you do have to buy the water cooler if thats what you meant)
you could have easily gone with a smaller M-ITX or M-ATX case, the motherboard would have been cheaper and the case would have been about the same price but even nicer.
Beautiful build and great part selection. +1
You could easily score an AMD 8320 + motherboard for under 350 at Microcenter. You could always go with a locked Intel i7 or i5 if you really need to (it all depends if you have a Microcenter in your area. I would also recommend getting not just an after market cooler for your CPU, but an NZXT G10 water cooling bracket for your GPU. AMD stock coolers are TERRIBLE.
Overall nice build. +1
Could have used more fans ;P
How do you like the monitor? Is it good?
I had a quick look at your profile and I am a bit confused...
You have a completed build including an I7-4960X and a GTX Titan and I know for a fact the Titan build came first.
Did you sell the parts of the Titan rig or do you still have that.
If you do, than why did you not just use the 6-core and the titan???
I bet this baby can push 20, maybe even 30, FPS on Minesweeper!
10/10 would compute.
What do you think about the maintenence of the case, is it easy to clean? How bad does the amount of dust get?
I love this case and this build so much, would you mind if I used the idea?
What do you think about the GPU, good performance, good temperature, is it to noisy? I am thinking about getting it or a GTX 760 while I wait for Maxwell.
You should consider putting that 770 on water, default coolers aren't the best ;)
One of the only builds I have seen where using the word "beast" in the name is OK. Good build I like it a lot.
I'm a bit confused on the cooling; your list says you used an H105 but in the pics it shows a Noctua...?
Nice build! Just curious about how youre liking the GPU, does it handle modern games well at a smooth frame rate and what do you think about the keyboards, I have heard good things about it.
I have been looking into headsets recently, what is your opinion of the G430?
I can't help but noticing that your CPU fan is crooked, it might just be me but try fixing that :)
Amazing build, love the way the light reflects on the side panel. +1
