Thank you! The Ryujin isn’t louder than all the AIOs I had so far (Corsair, NZXT). It really depends on how you set your fans. I am using the silent profile from my BIOS settings and I gotta say it’s very quiet, with the bundled fans.
It’s a custom kit made with the configurator. These are Pro ModMesh cables, default length, aluminum combs, bridged.
Yes, running perfectly since the 20th of November 2018, overclocked. A bit of coil whine can be heard with extremely high framerates
By having a job and by saving for 4 years!
This case is outstanding in space and cable management. The only thing to notice is the fan hub, meaning that a LOT of people, including me, had a defective one. Other than that, you’re golden!
Thanks a lot!
Yes, but the Thor should me mounted with the fan facing upwards. That is the point. Keep that on mind.
With this particular case, there is no clearance between the PSU and the shroud. If that’s a concern to you, don’t combine these two components.
The fan never needed to spin so I guess it has sufficient passive cooling (never going over 450 W).
Wow, your build is super clean. I can only learn.
Thank you! At the moment I applied a slight overclock (newbie here) as a start, bringing the CPU from 3.6 to 4.8 and the GPU from 1.3 to 1.7. Better than nothing :)
This card is a beast. If you want to go 4K you can expect 60 FPS on most of the current titles, but not more than that. Honestly 4K is still too demanding even for this GPU. That’s why I went for 2.5K, where I can easily go 100+ FPS on all my games.
I’d love to. Unfortunately I ran out of space at the moment. My desk is quite short.
Thank you very much mate.
Thank you! I wouldn’t take a big advantage of a SLI setup, but I really think that a full custom loop would be the only possible improvement here. :)
Thank you! This is an ironic PCMR wallpaper :) from here: https://pcmasterrace.org/wallpapers and more specifically https://imgur.com/Y7NeZ04?r
You’re right. My fault is being incapable of waiting. The prices are super high because I bought everything directly in Europe as soon as it came out and sure thing it was overpriced. The CPU only costs 250 less now...
I think you did an outstanding job with tubing.
Hi! The fans are the stock case fans. I’ve applied the Phanteks Halos Lux Digital frames on them to make them RGB (sold separately). Look for them in the part list :)
Very nice build. Looks clean af. Also that monitor is amazing.
Pure raw power. I like it! Good job.
Thank you! Not a single issue so far with this card.
Yes, no problems at all. There’s plenty of space.
Love it. Just one question: does the Thor PSU choke in that Evolv X?
There is a generic preloaded driver in the Windows installation. Once the installation is complete, it’s recommended to install the specific Samsung driver for optimal performance.
Pretty good. The XI Code stays cool the whole time. I didn’t overclock anything besides DIMM tho (4133).
Yes officer these are the cables I told you about.
Being serious now, nice monster! Tidy it up a little maybe.
Nice build OP! I love the pics. +1
Go for it, you won’t be disappointed!
I love this monitor. Sweet 165 refresh rate at 1440p. Even if it’s a TN panel the colors are great and natural to me. There’s NO screen backlight bleeding in my sample.
I bought it at the end of October and it has arrived in three days (I live in Italy).
Thanks mate! I hope to see your build here soon. ROG stuff is lovely.
Haha, yes, you are right.
Well, you really did the math. You got the best out of that cash - good job!
Your name is perfect.
Liquid, thank you for your kind words! I am very happy that you enjoy my setup.
About the cooler, what can I say. It does perform like a beast, I barely touch 30 degrees while browsing/doing desktop work and I never went past 60 during hours and hours of heavy gaming. People may say that it’s too loud but I honestly don’t find it louder than the other AIO coolers on the market right now. Also, with proper Ai Suite settings, this beast can be very silent and still perform greatly. The OLED display is definitely a nice to have, for monitoring your hardware but also for pure fun (custom GIFs and logos). Hiding the cables might be a bit tricky but way better than with other AIOs. The result is more than satisfying.
You can use HWMONITOR by CPUID!
They are equivalents. Good build.
Both AMD and Intel are good gaming platforms. Maybe Intel is a bit overpriced so you might pick AMD if your budget is limited.
It definitely is, if you play under 4K.
Congratulations! Amazing job considered this is your first build. What are your temperatures?
Great build. What are your temperatures?
Nice build. You definitely nailed the aesthetics. Good job!
Wow, thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you like it. Congratulations for your new build! Post it here once it's done.
Thank you very much! I used a Canon EOS 60D with the auto-focus option enabled. I really didn’t do anything special :)
Thank you for your kind words!
Thank you! The system boots in just a few seconds and the same applies to programs. I can launch them as I just log on and they’ll open up instantly. Really impressed. Not sure what you mean about turbo cache, though.
A beast, and couldn’t expect less. Make sure to adopt a proper cooling solution though, because this thing generates a lot of heat under load.
Thank you! Agreed on cables, might consider in the future.
Thank you! Probably the 9900K is more processing power that I need but who knows in the future. The mousepad is good but nothing extra from the ordinary.
