Had to switch the GTX 960 out for the 285 because it is slightly better. The memory bus was tiny on the 960.

As far as I know, the Kraken does pretty well,(although, I would love to make a custom loop, if only it were simple) the case has amazing features as well has superb quality. If you want to talk about overpriced cases, check out the Razer edition of this case. Simply a light, but an awesome as hell light.

I'm only 15, money is DEFINITELY an object. This is just my layout of the design. I plan on getting the parts for it through working and selling things I have fixed. Aren't the 6-8 core i7's around the $1000 mark? Besides, once the GTX 960 comes out, I think the 980 may drop a few dollars in price. Or is that for cards less powerful?

I want an 8-core processor though, as I plan on getting into design etc, I already know a little about Blender, will need to get into Unity. I also know that there are GPU's dedicated for that kind of stuff, but I want to do serious gaming at the same time. That and Unity is a ***** to run from what I have heard

Yeah people had said that reference cards sucked. The fan is loud and inefficient, and it doesn't get as good framerates as other non-reference cards.

Yes I had thought that, but whenever I find an apparent "reference" card, I cannot find the logo. Out of all of these though, the MSI had the best looking after the Reference imo.

Well for a beginner, I recommend a closed loop water cooler. Down the road I may get a FX-9590 (or whatever is better) but that REQUIRES a water cooler, even without overclocking. and it doesn't even keep it cool from what I have heard. But the Kraken series is a good series of closed-loop water cooler. Custom-looping is too hard. And Water cooling just seems more efficient. Although I am a beginner also, I have done my research XD
