Then should I just wait for the budget boards since I won’t be over clocking?

I3 8100 is better for gaming. If you can try to get an i5 8400 as it has significantly better performance.

You don’t need a 1080 for 1080p, a 1070 is perfect.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Mf7dpb You should upgrade your monitor later on maybe a 1440p 144hz

Forum Topic "What do I buy first?"

IndividualSOULS 1 point 17 months ago

Currently ryzen 5 1600 is $190 on Amazon, I think you should buy that now.

Forum Topic "Something in between..."

IndividualSOULS 1 point 17 months ago

The one above is a 1070 ti though

Forum Topic "Something in between..."

Forum Topic "I need a CPU..."

IndividualSOULS 1 point 17 months ago

Just get a r5 1400 then because the 1500x wouldn’t be worth it.

Forum Topic "I need a CPU..."

IndividualSOULS 1 point 17 months ago

Lower than the 1600 is the 1500x, but I would just get the 1600 which is $199 in US. I don’t know the equivalent in Australia.

I3 8100

Generally Intel is better for gaming, so I would get coffee lake (8th gen)

Forum Topic "Best Budget gpu"

IndividualSOULS 1 point 17 months ago

A 1050 ti is good for around $150, but the can get a 1060 3gb for around $200. The performance is worth it.

Forum Topic "Something in between..."

IndividualSOULS 1 point 17 months ago

Save up and get a new 1070, it’ll be worth it.

Forum Topic "Which is the "better" GTX 1080 choice?"

IndividualSOULS 1 point 17 months ago

Asus 1080 has better cooling, but the performance will be basically the same.

Forum Topic "Evga vs Asus"

IndividualSOULS 1 point 17 months ago

It is water cooled so it’d generally have better cooling.

Forum Topic "Crossfire RX 560 vs 1050ti"

IndividualSOULS 1 point 17 months ago

Depends on your monitor, does your monitor have free sync or gsync? If not then the GTX 1050 ti is better.

Forum Topic "7600K for 144 hz"

IndividualSOULS 2 points 17 months ago

If you want to spend $500+ on a 1080 go ahead, but I don’t think it’s worth it for 1080p gaming. The highest I would get for 1080p is a 1070 ti.

Forum Topic "$700-$1000 USD"

IndividualSOULS 1 point 17 months ago

I was trying to get it under $1000 or close to it and that is what I did. The submitter didn’t say they wanted 144fps, on the a 144hz monitor so they wouldn’t be limited by it.

Forum Topic "7600K for 144 hz"

IndividualSOULS 1 point 17 months ago

A 1080 for 1080p gaming? I’d recommend getting a 1070 which should get you 100fps ultra in all games

Forum Topic "I didn't know where to put this"

Get an i5 7600k with a decent AIO, also consider upgrading your gpu to an RX 580 or a GTX 1060 6gb

Forum Topic "pentium coffee lake?"

I’d consider getting an i3 8100 instead.
