and when i say doesnt support it i mean the mobo only takes up to 1600 speed

your motherboard doesnt support it, and if you want it for rendering i suggest 16g of ram

i like this build but is the 1866 speed ram necessary, the mobo doeant support it either.

what country are you in? i7 3770k is a great cpu choice, but there would be no problem with running an amd gpu with an intel cpu :) and wise choice on the ram, my mate has it and its great, also the 660 might be a bit underpowered for bf4 so i would reccomend the 660TI/760/270x, you can do your own research on pricing the the performance of each gpu and see if you like it, also i would look out for the Christmas sales or black friday sales or as you said you can wait till early next year if you want. As always with buying products i would always keep a look out for a cheap 7970/7950. The 280x is a re branded 7970 ghz edition and because of this you may find cheap prices for the 7970 ghz. edition

Like bf4? get a 280x, the ram needs a heatsink i would recommend one with a heatsink, and to save money get only 8gigs it wont hurt. Also consider an ssd so you can load windows 8 onto it and have a fast running os, 64 or 120gig ssd is all you really need.

Comment reply on JamJam21's Completed Build: first build, straying away from consoles.

oh and your ram try and get one with a heat sink, the ram you have there is ok but not good for gaming.

yea man 660 and i7 and windows 8 it will run smooth. is this already built or are you thinking of building? because if you havnt i think you should get the r9 280x

i3 in a build like this, not exactly a good choice, the i3 doesnt exactly fit with the 66oti and 16g of ram, i reccomend upgrading the cpu first
