About LemonComputers

Important Announcement

Due to my horrible HP Touch Smart 15 notebook, I will not be able to be very active for a while.

If anyone needs to reach out to me directly, please send me a private message and I will receive a notification via email. You can also post a forum topic and then PM me the link.

A new PSU Tier list and PCPP Formatting Guide are in progress...

Major progress have been made on the upcoming PSU Tier list as of December 15, 2016, at 6:30 PM. If anyone wants to see a preview of it so far, please PM me.

Check out the LemonComputers build guides! They are still being updated as of November 2016. (I know it's now February 2017, see above.)

Hello everyone, I am LemonComputers, who is someone that named himself after a nice fruit known as a lemon. I like almost anything tech-related. I'm a bit of a procrastinator - just count my saved parts lists and then count my completed builds and you'll see what I mean. I found this site in 2016 when I heard about custom built computers and was interested in custom building a laptop. Having been further involved in the PC building community since then, I like desktops, and no longer, well, think of an old prebuilt whenever someone brings up desktops. You can also find me on the official PCPartPicker Discord and on a few hardware manufacturer's forums. And I'm always open to any PM's (as long as they comply with the PCPP rules).

My Focuses:

  • Basic troubleshooting
  • Processors
  • Cooling and case fans
  • Storage (HDDs and SSDs)
  • Video cards
  • Chromebooks
  • Security and antivirus
  • Power supplies
  • Keyboards

Help with the fight against illegal sales of Intel ES and AMD ES processors!

Please send me a PM if you discover any ES processors for sale (or builds using ES processors where the builder knows it is illegal or is recommending it to others) and I can report it to Intel / AMD for investigation.

(ES is an abbreviation for Engineering Sample. More information about Intel ES processors can be found here: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/processors/000005719.html. As far as I know AMD does not currently have an information article like this.)

Disclaimer: I am neither affiliated with, paid by, endorsed by, or backed by Intel or AMD.

If you care about security, don't rely on Windows Defender. It's not good enough because its detection rates are low. Even if you are safe when you browse, that doesn't prevent network attacks and intrusions, which is often not realized around here.
