awesome build yet again! i don't always comment but i always look at your builds. Also i was wondering if you know any good lga1156 overclocking motherboards. It has to be micro atx, need 4 ram slots. I bought a biostar th55b off ebay from the only US seller because i don't want to wait 3 weeks.. i got it and when i put it in the system it didn't work so i got my money back. I really want to overclock my 860 now that i have a 240 aio and a case with really good airflow.

should have went with a case that is cheaper. could have gotten better parts by doing that. Also for a build like that the psu is a bit overkill, could have gone with a 450 watt 80+ bronze for about half the price

Yeah I know man, the computer was a gift from cousin and parents cuz my cousin had it laying around originally with cpu mobo and psu, it is actually one of the old gateway fx systems originally with a hd 5770, but I don't think it would be worth it to upgrade to x3440. If I did upgrade my cpu I would upgrade a few gens. Btw dude I love all your builds, I really love what you are doing. Thank you for the feedback

That sucks dude, I'm pretty sure i got this computer after that and i know it wasn't used and only had a psu cpu and mobo because my cousin had it around but never used it

also, how do you like that liquid cooler. i think im gonna get one cuz i have to get a new mobo and case, old case is proprietary cuz its a gateway but i wanna stretch my 860 out to 4ghz.

dude i use an i7 860 which i think is a little better than that 920, but you are using an 8 gig card. how much does that bottleneck cuz im trying to upgrade to a 1060 6gb. also you have had that 5850 take a ****? i wonder if somethings up with those cuz i had a 5850 take a **** too. i mean that card is from 2009 and its probably been beat to death so that may be it as well.

i say you should pick up a ryzen 3 1200 with an overclockable mobo, and ddr4 ram great budget cpu and you have a lot of headroom for future upgrades. Yea.... the cable management it looks like a dell optiplex that got drug out of the dumpster behind the local walmart. But i'm guessing that this case has an extreme lack of cable management room so maybe pick up a new one too. Then again it doesn't have a side panel window so its not the biggest deal.

everytime from you it is an i5 750 or 750s lol, love the first gen cpus, you must have alot of those. I still use an i7 860 with a 7850 core edition, still runs games like a boss. Keep up the great work!

The 2gb 5850......... the one i wished i had. I had a nightmare.... one of the worst days of my life... with the 1gb xfx reference blower style... i home from school exited to play some gta. who wouldn't be? About 20 minutes into gameplay my computer locks up so all i can do is power it down. After multiple tries it would not post so i took the panel off to see if theres and issue, and i also take out the graphics card and after i put it back in, WALA it posted and booted to windows. Then late in the night it crashed again but this time nothing worked so i let it cool off overnight in case it was a overheating issue, and in the morning it took many tries to post so my savior of a cousin came and brought me my current card. A radeon hd 7850 core edition THAT THING IS A SCREAMER lol. Great job keeping this oldie alive, thats also what i'm trying to do with my i7 860.

Where did you pick up that mobo? i'm really looking for a cheap decent one that can overclock because i use an i7 860, and the pc is an old prebuilt so its a generic non-overclockable mobo, i'm trying to keep this 860 running at its full potential and great for at least another 5 years.

Very interesting, still is a great budget option today if you´re willing to get used parts. I still use an i7 860 8 gigs of ddr3 and a radeon hd7850 core edition. It is an old gateway prebuilt, (originally had a radeon hd 5850 but it took a crap), but anyway i love to see old interesting builds , so thanks for helping keeping it fresh because i just scroll through and all i really see is 8700ks and gtx 1080tis.
