forgot to mention, my 980 ti runs GTA5 on max settings minus grass "poor optimization" 80 - 120 Fps give or take at 1080p, i'll have to recheck that exact frames i just know it dosnt really ever dip below 80 unless im in a area with alot of grass.
sorry for the late reply.
I got my i7 2600k overclocked to 4.7Ghz Right now and so is my 980 Ti
Temps are about the same as yours but im on the H105 AIO cooler now, what voltage are you at to achieve your 5Ghz? for mine to be stable i got to put it to high so i settled for 4.7.
Going by the pictures the hard drive is installed the correct way.
Its a decent build to get you started and once you figure out them cables you will be set!
give you an excuse to play around with it some more :D
in the picture its actually intaking, the fans motor is infront there is probably stickers on both sides. but its %100 intaking in this picture.
If you look at all the other intakes its pointing the same way inwords.
i got the same case now and i like it.
i was skeptical but its actually really nice.
No it is not a bottlekneck by any means.
I got most of these parts 3 - 4 years ago when the 6th gen wasn't even thought of.
the 980 ti i got as a semi gift where i paid next to nothing for it.
PSU was on sale when i got it 3 years ago wanted it to last through a few builds.
No overclocking right now until i get a new cooler.
already had the graphics card, so there was no need to get a "better" graphics card.
holds up well actually, plays most games on high-ultra settings in 1080p mind you the wife plays at 720p as she uses the TV so she can max it all out.
Really? i can see the motor is pointing inwords which means its intaking unless you have changed it.
should turn your rear fan around for exhaust seems like your cpu coolers fan is fighting with it as it is all your fans are intake.
weird, must have been flukes like any other updates that can mess anything up which could happen to any ssd i dont think i would not recommend them because of it because it could still happen during any update with any company.
also i update mine and never had problems i dunno i just think its harsh to not recommend the 840's when it could happen regardless.
he also has all his fans as intake while his fan is set for exhaust on the heatsink :P
my 840 is doing just fine, had had it for a year now still performs the same also used it in other builds that are also still going strong.
i'd recommend the 840's just the same as the newer 850's
it could be its just better to have the fan on the other side pushing through the fins oppose to it pulling from them
Well its typically better to have air going through the fins and if its set to intake its fighting the rear fan.
it will be fine if you do so.
There is still more blue then red, so if anything i would change the red to blue on the card by taping it off and using a brush or something like the sort.
its supposed to be that way.. if you got the hole in the buttom for it.. should do it unless its on carpet.
I dont see how really, the blue makes more sense then red as his motherboard has blue on it and so does the PSU only real red i see are the sata cables.
as a side note, when you upgrade to 10 simply restart after its done installing then download the latest drive after that all is good dunno why that happens but it does but a simple restart and install of the latest driver fixes it.
Havnt seen any issues as of yet with my own build not to sure if its really a Windows 10/Nvidia thing, dodgy upgrades happen its why i prefer fresh installs.
if i recall correctly, you cannot crossfire the 270x with the APU
The 300R is an awesome case! i love mine, great cable management options and clean.
i'll adjust the prices tomorrow
ya the 6770 does the trick for her needs, didnt want to buy her a new GPU souly because im gunna upgrade mine and drop one of my GTX 680's in there.
i got lucky! lol she loves call of duty as well.
Never know... it isnt our build so there is no telling what his future plans are.
So strange..... never seen that happen before.
ok i misread some of that i guess, did you try putting the 2 sticks in dual channel?
His motherboard isnt microATX so how would it fit into a microATX case?
Does that psu not have all the needed cables to not have to use a molex adapter on the second card? and i dont know what the other ram modules are but i personally dont like to mix ram, if the other is slower then the 1600's they will run at that.
personly, i'd much rather have 2 hdd's over one massive one... reason being... the second one would be for storing files so IF the first drive fails alteast you got everything else on the other drive aslong as it dont die before the first one lol.
either way, having 2 drives is good if anything get an ssd or something later on down the road.
Not a bad build over all, however the cable management could use some work, i got the same case and there is so much you can do with it.
the cpu power cable could be ran behind to the upper left corner.
i personally wouldn't bother mixing the ram, its gunna run at the lowest speed which is 1333.
i dont see the videocards in the pictures, but may i ask why the 7750's?
I got this same case, and i love it! Ya your cable management could use some work but overall its a nice build.
Getting an SSD down the road is up too you i personally love my SSD.
Also, yes it should boot from the HDD but depending on your board it may show up in the boot order as Windows Boot Manager as well.
As for the stand off in the middle of the case, its normal it actually keeps the board in place so you dont got to fight with it during the install.
Why are you using the molex adapter on the GPU? that PSU has a dedicated cable no?
turn your PSU around and that problem will be solved.
You dont got it on carpet so you can do so, i got the same case i love it.
Nothing wrong with the CPU you got, im still rocking my i7 2600k and 2 GTX 680's.
Runs everything so far still.
+1 on your build looks epic and clean.
Those programs use the sensors to read the temps which is what is inaccurate, just play it safe.
becarefull with those readings, they are not always correct.
That "cheap-o" cooler is one of the best coolers regardless of its price, dont be fooled by it.
Does not matter if its there or not, it effects nothing.
No you would want 1 and 2 so the same colored slots.
Ya dude, i love my ram... i got the first 8GB kit for $60 at the time and the other for free.
Thanks! looking forward to seeing yours! i actually tried overclocking with this cooler but it does not hold up very well, gunna get qa H100i me think or do an actual loop
