good build. just overclock the ram to at least 2800 and you should see a performance increase
your best bet is to just find the lowest price on pcpartpicker, as rtx 2060s are generally the same, even within different brands. If pcpartpicker doesn't have it yet, just go to amazon and buy one. Or, just grab a rx 590 if you're worried that the 2060 will fail on you.
RTX 2060, or RX 590 are your best options here. Your CPU is fine, and you can upgrade to an i7 later anyway. You should also think about adding ram.
wouldn't the i3 bottleneck the 1070? I know it can use a gtx 1060, but i think the kabylake i3 won't go well with a 1070
The i3 8100 will perform the same, if not, better than the past gen i5s (and maybe even i7s) because starting from this gen, i3's now have 4 cores, instead of 2 core/4 threads. As for gaming, if you pair it up with the rx 570 (or 1050 ti/ 1060), you will have a very enjoyable gaming experience.
Take it from me. I was a noob and went for a 2 core/4 thread cpu with a gtx 1050. However, I still get very playable framerates with games like fortnite, pubg, overwatch, destiny 2, etc. on mid/high settings. For your build, you will get much better frames with even more demanding titles.
i love how you used the fx line :) people think its garbage, but its high ghz is pretty nice. You should overclock it to 5ghz and see what happens :)
did you turn on the power supply?
lmao when i first looked at this i thought it had an amd a4 paired with a gtx 1080 ti. its a good build
Great for an old xp/vista build. Not sure about win10 lol
Can you make it so that if the Pentium Gold 5400's price goes too high, then the 5500 will take its place instead
I'm a dva main (if you're talking about tanks only) :)
This build looks really cool too!
If you play overwatch throughly, then do you play comp a lot? If so, then what sr are you currently in? (if you're still doing placements you can say what sr you were on the last season)
But can it run the dreaded... MINESWEEPER?
That PSU will blow up. Otherwise, the build is good.
make sure to overclock your ram as faster ram speed really goes well with the ryzen cpu.
6gb of course. also, i heard the gtx 1060 does not bottleneck the i3
i said OR
good build! should i upgrade my i3 7100 into i5 7500 or my gtx 1050 (non ti) into a 1060?
But can it run notepad?
good build! btw why did u get an intel ssd when u already had a 1tb ssd?
It's not a bottleneck unless the g4560 is paired with a 1070. Then you see bottleneck effects
Great job on ur first gaming pc! I would suggest getting an ssd. Also, it would've been nicer to use pentium gold 5400 (or something like that) with a gtx 1050 ti or 1060.
the g4560 is definitely an interesting cpu for the 1070. My guess is that it might be a bottleneck, but not a huge one since it does reasonably fine with a 1060 6gb anyway
i know im not the creator, but i have pretty much the same specs (only difference is that i have an i3 7100) and overwatch on ultra can get u 70-90 fps (sometimes 65 ish on intense fights) and fortnite you can get 60-70 fps on high, and 50-60 fps on epic
g4560 actually never bottlenecks the 1050 in my opinion. Heck, you can even pair it up with a 1060 6gb and still be okay. Anyway, great job on the build!
Good Build! Only thing I will say is to overclock your ram speed as faster memory speed is needed for APU's since they will use the ram speed due to lacking their own memory clock speed. This helps a lot in games.
I think you may be referring to gtx 1050 (without ti). I have that card, and it runs fortnite at 55-60 fps in epic and gta v at 50-55 fps in high.
but can it run notepad?
Nice scavenging. You got all of this just for $200.
I like this build. It'll be easy to upgrade in the future, and right now, it looks like it will work fine :)
A great, sturdy build for such a cheap price!
Looks great and a cool name for it :)
