I agree. What you can do is get another 1tb m.2 if you want to keep away from having the extra cables from a ssd or hdd. Also you will have another super fast storage.

I prefer fan cooled GPU over Blower but i got the 1070 for 200 bucks only used for a few months. Still have original warranty too. Too good a deal.

Also I have been trying to find some data or specs on some good cases that have a decent sound absorption. I am not sure how well my S340 absorbs sound.

I have a corsair PSU that only starts up at 50% load, and its really quiet. Im using a stock wraith cooler, and I have a 1070 FE so its the blower style card. Most of my noise I have noticed comes from the case fans. They run at 100% constantly and I only have 2. I was looking to get 3 or 4 fans and run them quiet to keep airflow at low noise. I haven't set my curves yet for my cpu or gpu. I have been trying to find a good curve for my system and what would help is better case airflow to make the curves lower. I also use a HDD and a M.2, but I barely ever notice my HDD since it's pretty quiet. I know my main source of noise is the case fans. And I know I will be able to reuse them when I get a new case.

I'll look into beQuiet. I haven't really looked into their stuff yet. I have been wanting a quieter pc but I always use headphones so I don't notice it. But since my friends can hear them on higher end mics, and I want to start recording and clipping, and my friend is starting to stream. That is going to be a big issue. Thank you.

I would recommend the Corsair MP510 960gb. That is the one I have been using and it had really good scores and reviews.

I would not get the intel 660p m.2. It has a very sharp downward curve in speed as you use up the storage on it. Also you can get the same ram with the same speed but not the flare x version for bout 20 bucks cheaper or sometimes more. Also I was able to find a corsair 750 80+ gold renewed on amazon for 50 bucks. I have been using it for a while and it has been working flawlessly.

You don't every want to fill up a ssd or a hdd. It will run much slower than if it was 3/4 full. Especially ssds and m.2 ssds.

I would recommend atleast a 1tb HDD I.E. a Seagate. Also get a ASUS Monitor I have seen and had some buddies get AOC monitors and they haven't held up as well as my ASUS montior. Also try to find a 3200 mhz ram kit. Ryzen CPUs perform better with higher clocked RAM.

Well I would like at least 1tb for additional storage. But I don't know if getting a 1tb ssd would be good because of the rewriting endurance on them. I delete files and add files a lot.

What I am going to do is get the Corsair MP510 960GB for now, then get another drive later one. I will just stick with my 1tb hdd till then. Might even get another cheaper 1tb m.2 later one to replace it.

What I wanted was to get something like the Corsair MP510 to use as a boot and all of my boot programs, and also have more open world games such as World of Warcraft, Skyrim, and other games that have a longer load time. Then I was thinking about finding a cheap 1tb ssd to use as the rest of my game storage. Then use my current HDD as a storage for anything else. I wanted to try to eliminate cables from my motherboard for a cleaner look.

What I recoomend is when you do those type of purchases, make sure there is a return policy, even if it costs 5 bucks or so to send back the GPU, it's still worth the 5 buck gamble for a large saving.

If you want good RGB you can also get 2 blank RAM sticks from Corsair and fill your empty RAM slots with the same RGB feel. Also I would look at getting a Corsair MP510 NVme ssd over the samsung. Samsung is fast but so pricey. That case is a little pricey but for what it includes its pretty nice. Also for a GPU I would try to find a RTX 2060 or 2070 for a good price on ebay. I found a RTX 2070 for 400 new on there once. Sometimes deals pop up. I got my GTX 1070 FE for 200 bucks on ebay. Just keep ya eye out and somewhere a deal will arise.

I was looking to get a 500gb nvme for boot and my larger, open world games that pull from game files throughout the game to play. and put the rest on the 2tb firecuda and use the firecuda for general storage, but I do want to move my OS and boot up programs to a NVME for that insane speed.

thats a NVME? also is it a good NVME, I'm willing to spend roughly 120 ish for a good 1tb nvme. What I dont know about NVMEs is that does deleting and re-writing affect it the same as it does on a Sata SSD?

Especially if they use a M.2 instead of a 2.5 inch SSD. You will get super fast start ups. I plan on getting a M.2 here soon actually.

I would have to agree with AwesomenessComp. I would get a ssd or m.2 that would be big enough for your OS or more if you have bigger applications. Then use a 1tb HDD for your main storage for now. That will save you some money to get a better gpu that will serve you better.

You also have to take into account the fact that having background programs running, maybe a couple tabs open on google chrome, or another application running while gaming. That 16gb will make sure that the user will not see a drop in performance while gaming.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Should I get case fans for the H500?"

  • 1 point

mayatola is correct with the case set up. The only issue I see is that if there is too much negative pressure, air will be forced to come in through all cracks which will bring in unnecessary dust. I am a real stickler when it comes to a clean case so I like to have a positive air flow to force most of the incoming air through the filters, but if all you really want is a cooler system for the H500, I would leave the two to exhaust or get a AIO with those.

If your motherboard can handle the voltage and your cpu supports it, you should definitely be able to use it to 3000mhz

I really like how you have the loop set up with two different radiators. Only thing that might be a pain is the maintenance to the loop. None the less a very clean set up.

I believe you are mistaken for the RAM being a lie. It is true that it does go up to 3000mhz. You will probably have to "OC" it. The RAM saying 3000mhz means it is tested to go up to 3000mhz but you can even OC it further than that, which is out of the manufacturer's guaranteed speed. I had RAM once that only went to 1833 when it should be at 2133. Just had to do a soft OC and enable some settings and it went up to that with no downsides.

I already have the Ryzen 5 2600x. I thought about investing into a stylish AIO cooler. My setup is more RGB and I like aesthetics. So I thought about saving up and watching the market for a NZXT or Corsair AIO cooler with RGB enabled. I use NZXT Cases so the front is made for a radiator. I was gonna upgrade to the NZXT 500i once I found one for reasonable price, but that won't be for awhile. Maybe even thought of getting a Lian Li case. But as I said that won't be for a good while. My current case is good enough.

I understand that, that is why I proposed him to get a RTX 2060 or 2070. I was just pointing out the other upside to that with the cpu. :D
