PickledTripod's Completed Build: FURYZEN - Small Form Factor AMD Gaming PC

Project460 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

Haha well I give you props. Yeah the Fury is definitely still a great card with current games! Vega prices are cray cray.

bigmike4g63's Completed Build: Budget pc while gpu $ is insane

Project460 1 Build 2 points 13 months ago

Honestly, this is what I would have done too as of right now. Luckily I bought mine before the spike in prices (R9 Fury was 240$). And yes, a FreeSync monitor is definitely worth it.

Thatoe's Completed Build: Little Shoebox

Project460 1 Build 2 points 13 months ago

This is awesome!

PickledTripod's Completed Build: FURYZEN - Small Form Factor AMD Gaming PC

Project460 1 Build 2 points 13 months ago

DOPE build man. The Fury is a large card so I commend you on putting it in such a tight case.. I struggled getting it in my Air 240 (due to height). I really dig this!

ghidorable's Completed Build: Modest mATX build with son white/horizontal/intel

Project460 1 Build 2 points 13 months ago

If you ever did want to upgrade the cooler, the Noctua D9L is the largest that I found that supports this case. I used to have a C7 but when I upgraded to a i7 7700k it just ran too hot (however these are known to be torches).

Chipsaru's Completed Build: Air 240 Micro ATX Custom Loop

Project460 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

so dope. so clean. +1

Outofrangr's Completed Build: The "I can't believe it works" Build

Project460 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

I have the same monitor.. FreeSync rocks! It really changes alot. I gamed on my buddies who had a 1070 w/o any sync technology and it was tearing everywhere at 144 hz.. almost unplayable to me.

wraithcock's Completed Build: NIM NI

Project460 1 Build 2 points 14 months ago

sooooo clean.

CharlieTso's Completed Build: Arctic Freeze V1.0

Project460 1 Build 1 point 14 months ago

What kind of games do you mean? I have a Fury and can answer your questions if you like. Feel free to PM me.

Daemonicus819's Completed Build: Vacuity in the Dark Base 700

Project460 1 Build 2 points 15 months ago

I also picked up my fury when it was on the low low. Definitely still a great performing card and when paired with freesync its unbelievable for the price I paid. Nice build!

PR0fitt3R's Completed Build: Sweet Xmas

Project460 1 Build 2 points 16 months ago

Sick build! FreeSync 144 hz is where its at.. I got a fury and it handles majority of my games fine. Even at 100 fps it looks smooth and I cant even tell the difference. I cant wait for vega cards to normalize in price so I can upgrade.

glnollette's Completed Build: "Homework" (First Computer Build)

Project460 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

I noticed on the Fury, the stock fan speeds in Wattman are really low. If you increase the Maximum temp to 70 it wont go over 70 anymore (or atleast mine does). The stock settings make the fan speed very tame IMO.

AhodShralpy's Completed Build: Gaming Microwave V2

Project460 1 Build 1 point 18 months ago

+1 for Air 240! Great case!

Sumpadonk's Completed Build: The Shadow of 2010

Project460 1 Build 1 point 18 months ago

Let me know how you like it! I definitely am enjoying an awesome experience. I wouldnt trade my Fury + FreeSync for a 1070 even tho it is the better card. I bought my monitor for 189$. No g sync 144 hz comes in that price so.. it made sense to me.

Also, the new FreeSync 2 monitors are looking interesting as well, which your GPU supports.

Sumpadonk's Completed Build: The Shadow of 2010

Project460 1 Build 1 point 18 months ago

No, he was not. Im sure G-sync works great as well. Its just nice that FreeSync is software based and dosent have a "mark up" like G Sync monitors do because of the extra hardware needed from Nvidia.

Sumpadonk's Completed Build: The Shadow of 2010

Project460 1 Build 2 points 19 months ago

Freesync is definitely worth it.. My Fury with 144 hz monitor is smooth as butter. My buddy actually has a 1070 and he gets terrible screen tears on his. When he played on my freesync set up he was amazed.

aclymer's Completed Build: Winter Ryzen P5

Project460 1 Build 2 points 19 months ago

Love the Air 240! Clean!

EChondo's Completed Build: EChondo's Ryzen Build

Project460 1 Build 2 points 21 months ago

Nice build! I regret not going Ryzen.. such good chips! The R9 Fury Nitro was killer if you picked it up a couple monthes ago on Amazon. 250$ new shipped. I love mine.

mkpascal's Completed Build: Royal Blue 2017

Project460 1 Build 3 points 21 months ago

I have a Corsair Air 240 myself...love it. I also went with the 7700k and have no plans on overclocking it. The bump in clock speed + overall resale value is worth the 30$ premium.

alejcho's Completed Build: AZEND - Ryzen ITX Master Race Build

Project460 1 Build 2 points 21 months ago

Wowowowow that is awesome.

Kyleryant's Completed Build: A Little Thing With A Bit Of Bling

dr_derivative's Completed Build: My as-of-yet-unnamed Build

Project460 1 Build 1 point 21 months ago

Ryzen just makes more sense overall IMO. Its a great chip and single thread performance is not far behind at all.

dr_derivative's Completed Build: My as-of-yet-unnamed Build

Project460 1 Build 1 point 21 months ago

I would have had to get a new motherboard, and i wanted to save a little bit of money. I went with the i7 7700k, which is a great processor, but looking back I would have swapped out the mobo for Ryzen.

dr_derivative's Completed Build: My as-of-yet-unnamed Build

Project460 1 Build 2 points 21 months ago

Love the R9 Fury Nitro. Regret not going Ryzen.. :(

Guapo's Completed Build: Silent But Deadly

Project460 1 Build 1 point 22 months ago

Yes limiting the FPS eliminates it, that's what I do as well.

Guapo's Completed Build: Silent But Deadly

Project460 1 Build 2 points 22 months ago

Actually, this variant of the fury is really, really quiet. I cant hear it rev up whatsoever. The only noise you can hear is its notorious coil whine..

DragonJ's Completed Build: Goldeneye

Project460 1 Build 1 point 24 months ago

Dude you lucky son of a gun.. beautiful build. +1 and i agree, featured for sure.

splaickner's Completed Build: Snowberry

Project460 1 Build 2 points 25 months ago

The Thermaltake cores are great. My buddy had one so i went with an Air 240 (didnt want to copy him lol). I love my case, but I really like this one as well.

lpmafiota's Completed Build: Fury Ryze(n)s

Project460 1 Build 1 point 25 months ago

Love this AMD build. However, i agree with most here. A 1600$ computer should not look like this. Go back in and spend a while making it look clean not just for aesthetics but also for airflow. You still get a +1 from me because, well, im a AMD fanboy at heart.

RhettRO55's Completed Build: MegaMan

Project460 1 Build 2 points 25 months ago

Clean build man.

Rylie's Completed Build: The Microwave - First Build

Project460 1 Build 1 point 25 months ago

MICROWAVES UNITE! +1 from me.

Fire_Yoshi's Completed Build: Hurricane Mk I

Project460 1 Build 1 point 25 months ago

Yes, however I picked up my Fury Nitro for barely more than most good 8 gb RX 480s and it outperforms them.

splaickner's Completed Build: Snowberry

Project460 1 Build 2 points 25 months ago

Great build man! Team Microwave unite!

I love these AMD builds. People really show their true colors.

Fire_Yoshi's Completed Build: Hurricane Mk I

Project460 1 Build 1 point 25 months ago

That is awesome Fire_Yoshi, you got a great deal!

Fury + FreeSync is such a good combination. It is holding up just fine now, and ive seen some great prices on them.

Also, I have a Deathadder myself and I love it.

Fire_Yoshi's Completed Build: Hurricane Mk I

Project460 1 Build 1 point 25 months ago

Yes, but it's still a very relevant card.

Fire_Yoshi's Completed Build: Hurricane Mk I

Project460 1 Build 1 point 25 months ago

Anything that doesn't say Nvidia offends this guy. +1 for the fury. Great card.
