Well if he got something like the asus Maximus 8 then it would benefit a lot more from the overclock
How do you like the 7600k, I have the i7 7700k, but I'm looking for i5 benchmarks, do you like the 7600?
Solid build, +1
If you are doing vr, I say kick out that i5 and put in an i7 7700k, much better in vr.
Only thing I have to say is in the picture are those fans intake or exhaust? If it is intake put a dust filter on it so then you aren't cooling your pc with dust.
Suite build bro, that's +1 for you
Only suggestion I have is to upgrade your motherboard, something a little more quality. Like the asus z170a or something that matches your color combo suddenly realizing how black and yellow the parts are, what you could do is take off the parts on the z170a and spray paint them yellow, then matching the build.
Only thing I have to say is upgrade your cpu cooler, other than the stock, and upgrade your gpu, those will both really help your gaming cause if you put your cpu under load it will be cooking at 75 Celsius! Which means it will really be throttling trying to cool down, limiting your gaming.
Only thing I would recommend is get a liquid cooler for your cpu, 70 Celsuis, definitely not healthy for your cpu, I have the feeling that if it is running at that temperature under load, it will definitely decrease the life span on that cpu. Other than that, great build!
I say what you should upgrade next (my personal preference) is a core i7 7700k or 6700k. It will be much better from your 6600k, also learned from experience, I had the i5 6400 and upgraded to the i7 6700k, let me tell you that was a big difference.
This build is Great similar to my first build, only things I have to say are upgrade your psu and ram. What you should do is instead of the hyper fury x in the future go with something that is higher speed for the same price. Also the psu, if you get another graphics card to do sli with more powerful cards rather than the 1050 ti, your psu that you have currently won't have enough wattage to support the sli. Lastly upgrade your graphics cards too as I had the 1050 ti and got quite a bit of throttling on current games out on the market.
If you overclock, overclock soon not in a year or two after your cpu is faded away from its glory days. If you overclock say in two years it won't be as effective as overclocking within this year. Although if you do overclock get a liquid cooled instead of the cryorig. If you do overclock with the cryorig you will only get like .5 ghz more which really isn't that noticeable unless you are doing some extreme gaming or video editing. For starters for liquid I recommend the corsair h60, that was my first, let me tell you it was a dream compared to air cooled. Let me know if you have any more questions.
I'm pretty sure it would be great, almost maxed out
How good is the airflow in that case?
How do you like the 980, i was thinking about buying one and putting it in my wife's computer, but I put a asus 960, is the 980 ti worth it?
Next time try and out more money towards the motherboard, because if you overclock, some motherboards will actually benefit from the overclock.
Next time try and match the colors like get some hyper fury x that's black, then most of the colors would match
One more suggestion, you shouldn't go with them I've had a reallly bad experience with them, I had 2 gtx 970's from them and they died within a year, and they weren't even overclocked. Other than that this is a solid build.
I would have taken a graphics card such as the Radeon r7 250, half the price but the same performance. Then you can get a way better cpu and an actual power supply.
So next time should I choose a better motherboard like the msi970 gaming?
