I've never been a fan of the sandisk SSD's[I'm sure they've improved since my last bout with them], but I dont think you lost anything moving away from the sandisk ultra II. Nice Build, +1 for including the OS and finding a way to keep the EVGA G2
for the price it really has been amazing. It's amazing how many fans you can position in it[assuming you ignore some of the intended fan mounting locations]. Just wish there was a little more space behind the motherboard for cord management and better positioned holes so that i didn't have to remove the mobo to fit the connectors through.
that an awful lot of Static pressue fans, the cpu cooler already comes with two of those SP120s... and the PSU sale ends before the contest, i'd recommend EVGA SuperNOVA P2 80+ Platinum as a possible replacement to keep you in budget
+1 from me for the 2 extra corsair SP fans, push/pull i'm guessing....
Like they said^^ I know the PSU rebate ends early[I already had to swap it out of my build guide]
Realized a bunch of newegg sales end before the contest does so changed out a few parts... one sale will still expire but should remain under $2K. Too bad you lose all the upvotes when you make a change(not like i'm going to beat jipster either way).
Great build , almost wish I had budgeted for a new monitor.
I really contemplated the 5820K on my build guide, but couldn't find an MSI X99 board for the budget
Nice build but you may want to rethink your GPU choice.
Not a lot of diversity in a lot of these contest builds so its nice to see things like the CRYORIG cooler and NZXT Noctis case.
And +1 for not being another red/black build
I like the ITX build but I'm pretty sure your GPU disqualifies you... its neither AMD 3XX series nor MSI
+1 for the avoidance of all things red, and an eye catching name.
Very nice! the extra ram will serve you well for audio/video work
Thanks for checking out my build. Seems we have some very similar selections
Great build guide, glad they approved the Z170I for this.
Its a great and complete build, but I think you can get a little more for the money...
~for 1 dollar more the samsung 850 evo 500GB can be the samsung 850 evo 500GB m.2
~also for 1 dollar more EVGA SuperNOVA P2 650W 80+ Platinum
~Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3000 or G.Skill Ripjaws V Series DDR4-3200 come in at a buck more or a few bucks cheaper than the 2400 you listed
~I think the MSI R9 380 4G beats out the 960, but I guess that more comes down to nvidia vs. amd preference
Just my 2cents
Nice, even included the OS and an optical drive, nice build and good luck
Thanks for the heads up, one of the prices changed as I was typing the description... will be fixed very soon.
