1.0. updated to 1.15
I understand, but the guy I sold everything to wanted the 380. I bought a new power supply with the new build to compensate for the 280X. I sold the 380 for roughly $120-ish. (hard to say exact price, because I sold parts in bulk for $310) I got the 280X for $60. I feel that justifies it enough. And if not. I want to either get a 1060, Vega, or wait until the new generation of NVIDIA cards to upgrade. I have a 144hz 1080p panel, and I want to use it.
My (first) true build, I messed up with the case. I'm using the same case for this PC as my first one though, mainly because the case I want has tempered glass and is pretty expensive. I'll end up getting it (at the latest, christmas :D )
i say true build, because this one used the same case, hdd, and ssd as my first build. All the parts are different with this one, though.
Thanks! I actually was really skeptical buying it. For that good of a deal there was bound to be an issue. Turns out I was lucky :)
Dude, someone tried to hack my minecraft account today/last week. They used it a while before they tried to change my password. Lucky for them I don't ever play minecraft. It's a shame they tried to change my password, they just let me know they were using my account.
This is a great build, but not worthy of being featured. Lack of effort in the post itself, however still +1.
Oh, well that makes more sense. Sorry for the confusion. (HINT: PUT YOUR DATE BUILT IN ON THE LEFT)!
I am not saying by any means it is a bad card, it just all depends on when you bought it.
I know how it feels ~ The temptation.
Ahh, I see. Well, you should change your parts list and label it as, "Purchased."
LOL, well that makes more sense now :)
Great budget build! I am truly impressed. +1!
Did this n*gga just upload a build with the 970 on the day the 1070 comes out?
Love it ;)
The 480 will beat the 390/X in performance man. Nice build but you should have waited.
It is a 390.
Dude, the 480 comes out in 20 days.. Seriously man, you should have been smarter with your money.
You mentioned that a 4790K would blow this chip away.. You do realize that your chip is basically a 4790, right? Also, a 4790 is just, just BARELY under the 4790K in performance, so your CPU is, by no means, at all blown away by the 4790K.
How do I do this???
Yep.. The bright side is I don't have to reinstall GTA V. Anyway, I reset everything and now everything is working perfectly.
Already did that. This is the second time it has happened and I can't go back any further :/ I am wiping my SSD (OS) and keeping personal files on my SSHD.
Look at my build. I am running stock clocks on GPU (not at the time of the crash, though), and 4.4GHz.
No liquid cooling, no water has ever been spilled in it (or other liquid), unless someone did and did not tell me. They don't wipe off and the area is not physically affected, they are just darker and shinier than the rest of the board. I will try and use a cloth to wipe them off and see what happens, but when I swipe my finger on it it does nothing.
MSI 970 Ganing, they are spots.
Congrats on becoming featured!
Perhaps, but let's wait for benchmarks on it first. If it performs on par with the Titan X/Trades blows, it would not be a bad option. Although the 1080 would last longer as a modern card, considering this is your last build and all.
They are talking about the 1070. The 1080 does about 25% better than the 980ti, while the 1070 is just barely below the 980ti in performance.
I don't need it.
I definitely don't need it.
I'm not saying he can't buy what he wants. I understand it doesn't require approval, but he opened to the public and he should understand why I am saying this. Excuse me for sounding rude, though, it was unnecessary.
this mouse is now $7000. nice snipe. http://www.macmall.com/p/4167118?dpno=7301472&source=zwb12166
A Lenny face would be useful right now..
I'm not forcing an opinion here. You can't argue with numbers.
I'm going to need a change of pants.. More temps please!
I know the 960 is temporary, but it still doesn't make sense. "Hey, I'm going to buy a new card. I might as well by the worse one for the same price." There is no logic behind that. One is not more expensive than the other, they are literally the same price (prices fluctuate, it also depends on what country you live in). A fanboy? Really? No, you have no argument so you use childish terms as your crutch. I'm buying Pascal. I don't chose sides, but whichever one gives the best price/perf in my budget.
Bro.. You're seriously avoiding buying the better card because of what happened in a MACBOOK? I'm sorry to sound rude, but does this look like a macbook? And if you will please name a time where they melted inside your gaming desktop? Otherwise that excuse is just irrelevant and it makes me angry that you made such a poor choice.
You should have gone with the 380. It is the better card for the same price. Other than that, this is a great build!
The 960 is commonly looked at as the mid end of the 900 series. For me it goes as following: 1080 is enthusiast, 1070 is high end, then the rest I already named.
Thanks! I think my next build will be called High Charity. Ahh, nostalgia.
I was the 50th +1. Fear me for I am mighty!
Thanks! I have a revision (Some prices are from my local microcenter, mind you).
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant
Won't it be considered high end and the 1060 will be mid end? Then the 1050 would be low end.
Yeah with a 970 you only can run on low D:
In conclusion, I am probably going to buy the 1070 SSC FTW model.
Guys, please note I'm talking about he 970 at 1500mhz.
Should of waited for the GTX 1480 in 8 years.
Simply beautiful. Did all of the black fans come with the case?
