Nice! I was really scared about going forward with them after seeing everything on reddit ( nothing but horror stories about NZXT) and a few other sites. It's good to hear that it's working for someone.
Wait wait wait... did you plasti dip the radiator? +1 btw
Wait.. with threadripper has AMD finally overtaken intel?
Definitely agree. Tinkered with software my self over the years but apparently NZXT with each update has created more bugs for CAM. But I guess I'll give it a chance and see what happens.
Hopefully. It's just the whole CAM software thing that bothers me. Apparently it logs things on it own and is very faulty when trying to control the lights.
Really wanted to buy a HUE+ and their LED strips.
I figured that it would be a case of but it seems to be quite alot of people have these issues. Would you suggest any other software or say that NZXT is worth the risk?
Loving it! Where did you get that custom MSI fan from?
Thank you very mcuh. Saved me some money lol.
Would either of those be really necessary if I'm just gaming? I'll only have my corsair strafe keyboar and scimtar mouse plugged in really.
cant go wrong with it.
If I have a 6700k and buy a z270, would I have to up date anything at all?
Like BalloonMatrix said the Asrock Z270 Extreme 4. Asrock tends to give a great amount of features for good price. Which describes the Extreme 4 perfectly.
I would say the Evolv TG since it does seem have better cooling. But not by much.
Honestly both cases are awesome and it may come down to preference. The Evolv does offer a lot of quality of life things like space to work, great cable management options, good drive mounting options though.
You always seem to be the one to answer any question I have. Thanks, I really appreciate it. If it's just that marginally. I'll go with the S340 Elite. I can't seem to find a good white case like it and the closest phanteks has is galaxy silver which is just a lighter silver.
Would an X61 fit with this case?
Like me. Which is why it's more surprising lol...
I really wanna try doing something like this. It's really cool to see unique and inventive builds. Good job!
That is freaking gorgeous. +1 and then some lol. How long have you been watercooling?
Mean while some of us spend $3,000+ on rigs. What an awesome find.
By far one of my favorite builds lol. Have you used it yet?
If you want a good amount of features for that price range. You can't go wrong with asrock. Their boards are looking really well this time around.
Thank you. I really appreciate your honesty. I think I will try it eventually but not yet.
Yeah I saw... it's pretty sad actually.
How is EVE online from your perspective? I hear people say it's gotten rather ugly. Final Fantasy 14 does seem like alot of fun.
I completely forgot about that one! I'm a huge star wars lore fan. I'll have to give it a go for sure.
I heard black Desert was very fun but a super intense grindfest that became pay to win. Is that still true?
Don't go for the 7700k just yet. There been a few problems reported and it performs only about 2% to 4% better than the 6700k. Not much reason to jump for it.
New to the site my self and shocked to see how helpful and mature everyone is. Making a PCP store would be amazing.
How do you llike that monitor by the way? I know it's not IPS but do the colors look great?
Okay Asus... I know the deal... Where do I sacrifice my baby goat this time?
When I was a Freshman about 3 years ago my professor at the time had work for quite a while with intel. He worked closely with a few members of the research and development team and I specifically remember him telling me that he could not stand how things were carried out with their Research and development team.
He said that it wasn't the R&D that was bad but the people above them who kept firing engineers, developers, and making things much tougher than they should be to complete work and production. It's crazy because this was around the time Intel's CEO Brian Krzanich took over who supposedly is part of the reason for chips not being as good as they can be. It's sad to see what's happening to their chips. I really hope AMD takes this opportunity to shine with their CPU's and GPU's.
Exactly. I don't know why people don't pay Asrock any attention. They give you what you want for great price.
Definitely getting a z270 Asrock B&W for my 6700k.. they are sick. MSI Krait looks pretty nice too.
So glad I can use my 6700k with it!
I wonder how much better it will perform than the 1080? Theirs wild rumors that it's around 3 times better on some sites.
Sorry! That was a mistake definitely go with 6700k if you can

Keeping the wife in mind. I chose this case because it does offer quite a bit of space for storage. Perfect for her editing and your gaming. It can hold up to 5 140mm fans which is more than enough for cooling.
The keyboard and mouse are ones that I have my self. MX red on a keyboard is awesome for gaming and there is an RGB version if you like. You build did seem really good. Not too much I would improve upon. Cyrorig makes awesome coolers and has good quality.
What's your budget? What games are you playing?
Awesome love those games my self. Total war and Arma more so wouldn't be affected too much by your GPU but is instead a rare case where the game is benefited by a strong CPU. Arma just because it has crap optimization and Total war because the game is running a zillion calculations at once with the troops and movements, and weapons.
That being said the 6660k that Bran_Flakes chose would handle those games pretty well. In regards to the 1060 vs 1070 question, I say you wouldn't see too much of a dip but everyone is different. It's more so what you consider playable. Both are great choices though!
Yeah no problem! I'm a newer builder my self so helping lets me learn more in a way lol.
What games will you guys be playing?
Removed your m.2 for a SDD that's bit cheaper and has a bit more space. The case has really nice window and good air flow
Oh wow. Thanks for letting me know. It seems like a really good board.
Can the S340 fit an E-ATX motherboard..?
What's your max budget?
You can opt for the EVGA G3 550 or 650 power supplies that were recently released... their pretty good. If pricing isn't too much of a factor, I suggest a Phanteks case. Either a Enthoo Evolv ATX or the pro series. Both have excellent air flow. What's your budget?
This build really inspired me to be a pc enthusiast. +1 sucks I was late to see it :(
