DiverFictionB's Completed Build: I'm having problem that "Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO" sticking out of the case

Triniking 1 Build 1 point 4 days ago

The Cooler Master seems to be 160mm tall.

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/TnJtt6/cryorig-m9-plus-484-cfm-cpu-cooler-m9-plus

That Cryorig M9 is 125 mm tall. Surprised the other one didn't fit and it's a mid tower ATX.

Take some measurements and trade it in for a new cooler.

Again it would depend on the game. Upgrading the CPU to the Ryzen 5 2600 would help.

The 1TB comes in handy since most games that aren't indie titles are huge (50+ GB). You can save some money with a non-modular PSU but the extra cables will be harder to build with if you're a first-timer.

The CPU is overclockable with that b450 mobo.

The GPU is overclockable through MSI Afterburner.

There's probably that. I'm guessing some people gravitate to Ryzen for their unlocked 4-core CPU needs.

The filter didn't sort by brand name. You should try a Kingston or SanDisk drive if you're worried.

ThoughtA's Build Guide: Entry Level AMD Gaming Build

Triniking 1 Build 1 point 4 months ago

Please do research and get the compatible memory for the cpu + mobo. Best case scenario is the memory will under-clock itself; worse case is it might not work.

The 2400G will still work but don't expect 1050ti performance.

1) The Intel CPU cooler comes with thermal paste pre-applied but if you want your own people normally use ARCTIC brand thermal paste.

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/6RrG3C/arctic-silver-thermal-paste-as535g

2) Cases don't come with CPU coolers. The Pentium comes with a CPU cooler and the case comes with two pre-installed case fans.

3) You can try to get a i3 8100 instead of the Pentium.

ThoughtA's Build Guide: Entry Level Intel Gaming Build

Triniking 1 Build 1 point 4 months ago

It's probably out of stock.

Good substitutes are the g5500, g5600 or the i3 8100.

Nice build but spent a little too much on the ram and mobo. The savings could've gone to a GTX 1050 which performs better for Fortnite.

You may have to check stores in your area for stock. Right now PCPP says the g5500 and g5600 are also in stock. You can also get the i3 8100 if you have the money.

I'd get 16 gigs. I've seen Shadow of the Tomb Raider go past the 8 gigs point. Yes, the dedicated GPU helps since it frees up more RAM for system use.
