i know you said you do a bit of gaming but mind if i ask how your frames do? I'm looking to upgrade to the new 2700x with a 1070ti and just wondering if i should just suck it up and get the 1080ti? Im usually just gaming with friends on Pubg, Fortnite, Overwatch and league of lengends.
Cant say ive had any problems with the set up i have. Ive got the ram running steady at 2800 but wouldnt be surprised if i could push it a bit further. One thing i will mention is 8gb was barely enough for me as a gamer trying to play Pubg and have discord open with maybe 2 tabs on my browser, so i quickly picked up another 8gb pack (another two 4gb sticks). If you stream at all/ want to i would deffs invest in atleast 16gb of ram. Hope this helps :D
You make a fair point but i just wanted to see what the new bottom line R3 had to offer. I do plan to upgrade to something new in the future, though what i have now works fine. I did manage to overclock it to a stable 3.9ghz and am thoroughly impressed with the performance increase.
Yea ive watched some videos on youtube of people overclocking and it seems simple enough but im still just waiting till i find someone knowledgeable enough and close enough to me that i can watch them in person xD i just dont have wiggle room to go replacing my stuff asap if i break it xD
Lol, yes i agree it is overkill. xD The power supply is the first thing i actually bought and i just wanted something with enough power if i wanted to upgrade and do a water cooling loop or run SLI i would be able to power everything :) that and i got it on a hell of a good deal in my town :P
Sorry for me it depends on what im doing as to what i will use as a listening device. If im editing or just listening to music i like to use the speakers and go loud so i can use the sub. If im gaming or need to keep my sounds low ill use my headset with 7.1 surround.
