Well, I only did that because the blue didn't go with the rest of the build and I was just like "**** it, I'll just do the while thing." :)
I'm likeing the copper tubing. I myself would do a copper pipe build, but lack the money :P
I'm liking that gpu mod, very well done with nice contrast between the white and green.
Otherwise, nice clean build. +1
That purple goes nice with the red +1
Hey, I saw this on LTT. God job man.
Do I know you from somewhere?... :/
Nice color coordinated build, finally someone does one right.
I have one leg
Nice build, I myself started out with ubuntu when I first built mine. Think I was the same age as you. Are you running ubuntu 14 or 15?
It has been about three months now, and everything is still working great, Even have my gpu oc'd. I will be getting a new mobo soon thought (not gonna paint it this time) msi krait, so I can sli eventually. It will be colors i like (white and black). I have painted the case though. Now all the blue parts are a sick looking metallic grey.
How does this only have one upvote?! +1
or is it blue and black?
well, I was going to paint it completely blue to match the case, but I liked thefirst coat I put down. (grey)
oops, meant 4.39
oops, I meant 4.39
as far as I know, don't paint over stuff you are going to use, and use non conductive paint and yo're good
the color was just different enough to annoy me, so yah.
Dunno. It's probably just corsair being cheap and not using strong enough plastic. I can check and since i didn't get much paint in it its probably still covered.
it's beacuse they look nice and show off your mobo, while slightly increasing the life of the cpu.
how do you get 9 celcius?
I thought that the 290x was just a little bit better? 15%?
yah "(but i'd need a new mobo)"
as it turned out, the grey color was just going to be a base coat for a blue that I was going to put on, but at the end i liked the grey alot so I kept it.
thanks, I like the look of the grey and the white lights from the logo and the xfx card. I probably will change the lights to a white light strip
It's hard to explain, but the backplate made it impossible to remove the cooler. the little tiny threaded hole things that you put into the backplate just turn and the backplate doesn't stop them.
no I havn't. I will never use them (probably) so I didn't tape them off. Most likely they don't work now.
I taped over all the slots/dimms/fan headers/stuffs that I was going to use, and used afew light coats of non conductive spray paint on the whole mobo.
thanks!, maby eventually. When i'm not broke
Nope, still runs fine, albeit afew celcius hotter. Not enough to harm anything though. I let it dry overnight.
Oh don't worry, I'm no fan of beats. I bought them afew years ago before I began to know better. I only have them on my desk because they match the color of my case
thanks! I will, when I have money, just bought the monitor you see.
Beacuse I plan to xfire 2 290's (but i'd need a new mobo) and my 750 watt psu can't go that far.
yah, But i set the turbo boost to 3.99 on all cores, not just the first
well, i call it tape. The only thing that I forgot to do was check if the paint was conductive or not. Turns out, it wasn't.
You can't get that ram then cover it up with a gigantic cooler!
EDIT- Sorry, i just saw the ram comment about the mobo
hola. That's all I got
whoa. One post would have been sufficient . but I see what you mean
I read the first page beacuse I'm too lazy to read the whole thing.
Alright, I'm thinking that if I go red and black I think that I'll go for a twin frozen and an MIS gaming mobo
whats up with EVGA being stupid and not having a bajillion display ports like any other sensible brand of 900 series?
sorry, *micro atx I always mix those up somehow
oh, and mini atx please, i lan party alot
How bout white and black? maby the Gigabyte card?
I like the AMD cards though for some reason. But if I were to go Z97 and have a 980, what board and gpu could you recommend with a color match? I like MSI but I don't like their blue mobo's
Yah, thanks, I'll prob's get the x99/
EDIT- still thinking acctually
I like the look of that mobo. I'm thinking of using it soon.
Planning on gaming, but it's so hard to resist the look of the MSI X99s sli plus mobo, and it has the 2011-e socket
