Honestly not much you can do except add like a 750 ti or 950 that doesn't need external power.

I don't reccomend that monitor its very very small and also switch out the gpu for this https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GeForce-GV-N1080G1-GAMING-8GD-Graphics/dp/B01GJEE9BG if you want a bit more power

pcpartpicker Here ya go! The 1080 is a placeholder for a custom msrp card of the 1070 when that releases really soon. This build will be insane for gaming as the 1070 is pretty much a Titan x. This should last you a long time as if the need arises you can upgrade on the same mb to the new kaby lake or better skylake processers as the motherboard is overclockable. The ram is also very fast and reasonably priced ddr4. As for the psu not much to say as its certified and made by evga. Lastly the case is a really nice deal right now as it has a really interesting aesthetic and great airflow! Good luck and welcome to the pc master race!

Maybe in a month a gtx 1060 will come out and I can fit that in the budget so before you start building pm me and I may be able to get an even better deal for you! And if you have any questions just ask me!

pcpartpicker take a look at this. This has everything you want but with 16gbs if ram.

I would 100% recommend you don't go with the Cisco one. Firstly the case is cheap with terrible airflow. The motherboard is also cheap and can't take any more ram upgraded ever. The psu is also really unreliable and will fail on you after this kind of time period. I'll be back with a 800 doller build that includes the 6700 and 16 gb of ram.

I would say you would only need an i5 I can make a build that I think you would like for the best price I can and is all you will need.

Why waste the money on an overclockable motherboard with a locked processor?

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Reliable long life computer build"

pcpartpicker Take a look at this. I decided to go with a nice looking reliable motherboard that is non overclockable along with the i7 6700 because it saves money and the overclock isn't really necessary for your needs. I have 32gb of ddr4 as it seemed you wanted that (16gb would be plenty in my opinion) I threw in a 950 as it will allow you to play the games you want for a while. The case is really nice to build in and use and the power supply is fully modular and reliable. I decided for boot use your ssd and have a 2tb hdd for mass! Welcome to pc building!

Hmm i think that you will need something like a 950 because your cpu will bottleneck almost anything so it's your choice if you want to upgrade to a 6300

I would save up more for the 980 ti because oh boy it's way more worth it. Also the you can do a build with 4790k 16gb of ram and 980 ti for about 1100-1400

Hmm, my favorite game would have to be from the depths. I got it and imediatly got sucked In for 70 hours. That game has a huge learning curve but it's absolutely phenomenal. Other games that are good would be the witcher 3 or mgsv.

Well it sounds like you touched the blade which it would obviously break then. As for sli bridges it really doesn't matter hard or soft ugly or pretty. Matters mostly on if your happy with it currently or you want that extra flare of a fancy sli bridge.

This is a nice first build!!!! In the future the only real thing you have to upgrade will be the gpu as you have left yourself perfect on everything else. I say In the future you can change things around how you like and maybe with a gpu upgrade eventually this will last a good 4-6 years!
