im willing to buy any additional components if needed.
where could I buy one of those shirts?
Thank you very much!
would it not be x8 x8 x4?I though my CPU and chipset together had like 24 pcie lanes or something?
i know that but it would be more beneficial as far as performace goes to run one card for every monitor.
Probably.... Just pointing it out before it becomes a disaster.
I think you will be fine with the amount you have.
Thats pretty damn hot if im not mistaken.
you should maybe considering checking to see if that samsung EVO is really at 100 C....I might just be reading it wrong...
This is good for what you will be doing! I cant imagine that there would be enough heat to ruin the wood/finish.You dont have to worry about that ever happening.
well at least you wont need to get more ram or a better cooler in the future
Nice build! most people are gonna complain about the amount of ram you have but for the price, you wouldve maybe saved like 30$ If you had gotten 8 GBs instead, which is a bargain considering its like 70$ for a 8gb stick here in canada.
i already have the sound card
you realize im talking about a non "x" pci slot card, and thats the reason i need the adaptor
wait i can put a pci card straight into a x16?
I want to get into audio production.
and im pretty sure i want a sound card.
Nice build though!
I dont think you guys realize that these arent us prices and that therefore they suck.
I Think The System Is Good,But I Dont know what his standards are ETC.
Yes,but does he have preferences.Ex:I Think a Fx6300 would be better.but maybe he prefers intel.
It might just help (Not trying to be rude or anything)
Maybe you would like to tell us what you will be using this for,ETC.
nvm.Just realized you fixed the problem.
Well,Im not entirely sure where yours is,but mine is on the top right of my motherboard.Yours might now have it.It Will usually say start or power or something.
Try plugging Your monitor into every single place it can be plugged into on your PC.
Have you tried a different monitor?
Have you tried starting the PC up With the internal start Button (At least thats what I think Its called)?
Only suggesting because these worked for me.
Oh OK thanks very much.
I just learnt something new.
I Also think that PSU Is definitely good for overclocking,if not overkill.
And the A water cooler would be entirely possible down the road.
This seems like a good build,Very well balanced.I Personally think that there isnt a Huge Advantage to a Skylake CPU,But If You think its worth it then go for it!
Good luck on the build!
Also I Meant A PCIe x1 Card in case your wondering.
Only Reason For Athlon X4 Instead Of Pentium Is Because Of Cores # Being Of Value In Games Like BF4.
Best For The Price
I Like Your Choices,But They Are Slighly Outdated.
Newer Version Of CPU/Mobo And GPU As Well As DDR4 RAM.Not A Huge Price Difference.
Sorry,Didnt See That You Would Prefer To Keep The GTX 980Ti.It Is Probably What Is Keeping The Cost Of This Build So High Though.
If I Were You,I Would Maybe Just Switch To DDR3 (You Get LGA1151 That Support DDR3) Or Downgrade To 8GBs,As Well As Maybe Get A GTX 970 And Then Sli Them Later On.This Should Reduce The Cost And Play Most Games Fine.
I Just Changed A Couple Things,Such As:
-I5-6600K Instead Of I7-4790K,Because For Gaming I7 Is Not Needed,And The 6600K Is Newer.
-New MotherBoard.I Changed It To A Board That Fits The 6600k,But It Is A DDR3 Board ,So If You Are Looking To Use DDR4(Faster But More Expensive RAM,Which You Don't Need)Then You Can Look For A DDR4 Supporting Board.
-Removed A SSD Because You Wont Need 2,Instead Just Use An SSD For Your Main Things,And Use The Mass Storage HDD For Everything Else. Its A lot Cheaper.
Other Than That,Remember To Add A Wifi Adaptor If You Are Gonna Use Wifi,And You Need A Power Supply,As Well As A Monitor. Some Case Fans Would Also Be Good.
Might Wanna Look At These Pages First.
Should Work Well.If Youre Willing To Go Over A FX 8320 Would Be An Improvement For 30$ More.
Good Point.I Guess They Did Still Make Changes To The Card.
get maybe a gtx 960 or radeon r9 280/280x
Besides,If The 380 Is Just A Rebranded 285,Just Look For A 285 Backplate.
I Just Looked At The MSI R9 380 And It Has A BackPlate.
why not pick one up online?
I think this is good, would add more ram and lower PSU Though
Ah Ok Thanks.
Great Build! I Was Just Wondering If This Watercooling Setup Is An Option For The Z97 Platform?
There Are Gonna Be People Who Recommend the 960,But It Will Quickly Lose To The 280 Due To Vram,And The GTX 960 4GB Are About The Same As A Radeon 290,Which Beats The GTx 960 Quite Easily
