Been playing Playerunknowns Battlegrounds for a couple of hours with everything on ultra and it's sitting at 68C... sound about right?

Please can you recommend a temp monitor that will superimpose itself over a Steam game? I normally use CPUID HWMonitor, however in the couple of seconds between tabbing out of the game and viewing the temp info it's already cooled off a few degrees. Would be good to see it in real time.

So, I think I fixed it guys. Took the cooler off, reapplied (more) thermal paste and tightened the screws attaching the main body of the HG10 to the card itself.

Using a 1920x1080 burn in test in Furmark, temperature topped out at 68C after 30 minutes (it slowly crept up to this temp, then stayed there dropping back to 67 then back up to 68). 107 fps average.

Does this sound acceptable?

Really appreciate everyone who has taken the time to comment.

Thanks dude, I'll take it apart and try using a bit more next time. I used maybe twice the width of a BB pellet so that could well be where it's gone wrong!

I saw an instructional video by Corsair on the HG10 and he used half the bloody tube on it so that supports your theory haha

Thought it might be. Highly frustrating. Also started to get some artifacting on startup (while the windows 10 logo is on the screen).

Why did i screw around with it...!

While i'm certainly no expert, I personally can't see a big deal if your CPU is sticking to the 60s under max load. I'd say that shows your CPU cooler is doing it's job?

Are you willing to sell parts, or are you only wanting to sell the unit as a whole? There's a few bits on here I may be interested in, price dependent of course!

I'll try and get round to posting pics of my build soon. Won't be as fresh looking as a new build as its been in use since December :D

I have the 27 inch version of this monitor, and wholeheartedly recommend it. If I could turn back time though I would definitely go for the humungous curved option though :p

Very nice clean build mate. I've got a build using the White Air 540 case but it's not nearly as tidy as this, particularly with your cable management!

Could I please ask where you got your white cables and the desk from?

Thanks man :D

Thanks. I've done a bit more digging with fresh eyes this morning and it turns out the GPU not showing is due to the GPU not being utilised when not activated by Nvidia Optimus. I'm going to give it a go with the current settings, as I can't find any major disadvantages of not having the 960m set as the default video card (quite easy to do through Windows surprisingly).

Thanks for the benchmark, that's very useful.

Update:

Well, the screen died. Genuinely died as well, I didn't "make" it faulty! It went really blurry for like 5 minutes (almost as if it were trying to show 3D) then I couldn't get any picture at all on it...even though power lights were still on.

Replacement on the way from Amazon.

Might leave it a bit before using until thunderbug season is over (I go to Cyprus for one month next week, so won't be back until September) as I don't want to risk bugs getting inside the brand new one!
