Nice build ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )
Whoa that GPU sag.
Great build, though. Looks pretty.
Did great on the water cooling from what I could tell.
Awesome build :)
Always loved the way that Enthoo EVOLV looked. Great color choice!
Welp, I'm jealous.
Very pretty pictures. Nice build.
Here's what I'd suggest:
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant
Getting the newer-generation i5-6600K is the better way to go, despite the $30 difference between the older chip equivalent.
I also exchanged the GTX 950 with a 960 instead, because the price difference is pretty negligible (similar to the 6600K | 4690K situation).
Buying an OEM key for Win10 retail isn't the best, you could buy it elsewhere for much less money (no piracy included). Not sure if you were actually planning to buy it retail, but I thought I'd suggest that since if you didn't, you'd save around $70, making the final price of that list below $950.
Getting a single card will save you from some of the shortcomings of SLI/CrossFire that you may, or may not encounter. If I'm not mistaken a 390 is better than SLI 960's anyways.
+1 for cat
I'd of just bought a 6600K, it would have worked really well with that NH-D15. Though, I'm not sure if you bought that 4690K some time ago or not. DDR4 is pretty cheap now, and the 6600K would have only costed about $10-$30 more. Could have bought an OEM key for Win10 for a lot cheaper as well, and could have used that saved money for the DDR4 memory and that Skylake CPU. Everything else seems okay though, love Noctua.
What an awesome pc, good job
Awesome! Always love seeing new additions like this to the site. Always getting better =D
Nice little build. I like the green color scheme!
nice build man
Nice system! +1 looks sexy
Nice build I'd say. Very thorough description. +1
Oh alright that explains it haha, my bad. Welp, GTX 780 Ti is still pretty good so I'm sure you're happy either way :D
I think spending a bit more to get a GTX 980 would have been better, at least in my opinion. Could have bought a Zotac AMP! card for about $40 more or so. I just say that because you don't seem to be on a serious budget, and it wouldn't necessarily be overkill for 1440p gaming plus having the extra gig of vram and power that maxwell cards provide it would have secured you a bit more for later. Hopefully you don't take that as some insult like some people seem to on here. I don't know the specifics like how the shipping is to Australia for things like that, whatever else. Good built though, I like it. +1
This is such a badass build. +1...
Straight awesome. Great build. +1
Great build. I hope it's serving you well! +1
Not a bad build but the four separate purchases of RAM? What?
lol that OS choice, rip
This is beautiful. I love Corsair! Awesome build my man.
Not bad. The system looks very pretty in my opinion. I hope that Strix is doing you well :D +1
Aha I like the picture with the little alien on the cpu block, bright tubing I like it +1
nice color scheme, looks clean!
That's one heck of a 14th birthday present.
Nice. I'm sure this will do what you need :)
Sweet mother of storage
A Model M, interesting. I'm not really sure what this system is supposed to be used for but I assume it's going to be used for something like intensive work with programming or heavy video/photo editing, etc. I really wish people would make at least a decent effort to put even a paragraph of information justifying their part choices when publishing these types of builds. And if you were to say "well i plan to put a description later" then why publish it, getting people kind of annoyed from the mystery that is this machine and choices, just for the sake of people being able to view the part list and a picture?
I can't really say much for part choices other than yeah, why didn't you buy an SSD with this system? It almost is like a mental block of some form for something this expensive to not include one these days, even more so when the build only contains 4TB of storage on a sub $5,000 computer.
Either way, I'd be interested to see what this thing is supposed to be used for since it's not obvious and could be used for tons of different tasks.
wow very pretty +1
Yeah I probably would have just bought an Intel since this doesn't seem like a budget limited machine. Looks cool though.
SICK!! I love it +1
My god. Awesome build. +1/+1
Probably one of my favorite builds I've come across so far. I wish there were more pics.
Looks super clean... that desk <3
Cool build. The red is awesome _ +1
Lol "AMD BUILD" "Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 3GB WINDFORCE" k
Wow, I bet you are loving it! haha
Well I'm glad you are getting a nice experience man. Thanks for the reply btw.
Oh I see. And awesome, I plan to get a new PC with a GTX 970 but MSI's Twin Frozr one and I plan to play Skyrim with heavy graphic mods like ENB's and textures etc on 1080p, presumably just like you. So it's good to know it handles it pretty well :D
So how is that 970 performing in games in comparison to your old HP laptop? Nice build btw I like it.
Yeah I really like this build. It caught my eye in the newest listings. Pretty awesome choices. Any reason you went with a 21.5" monitor? Did you just not mind the smaller screen and didn't see the point in paying the extra money to get a 24"? Just curious, that's all. Also how is that GTX 970 running games?
