I did it for future-proofing. It looks like the RAM suggestions for some upcoming games are on the rise, so since it only cost a little more I splurged. Plus, since I got the Witcher 3 for free it kinda ate the extra cost of the RAM.

I currently have it venting out of a fan I installed on the back. The fan was not installed in the picture you saw, but is now. I am working on getting new pictures posted.
