Thanks for the suggestions. I thought filling the most slots was more beneficial. I wouldn't have thought I needed a cpu cooler since it wasn't overclock-able but I'll add one to the list. As for the case, I've had my eye on a R5 for a while and then the R6 released. I could look around for another minimal black case with a window I guess. As for the CPU I went with the 8400 after a very detailed reply I got comparing the 1600 and the 8400.
Gaming mostly. Couple tabs open of whatever I'm reading up on, watching streams. It definitely seems like the 8400 is what I'm going to go with.
Wow. Thank you for that extremely detailed answer. Lots of new information in there for me and it was very interesting. Since this won't be anything close to a 'workstation' I believe the 8400 is the choice for me. Thanks again!
It averages around 38-40c under load.
Okay thank you very much for your fast response! I knew I had a few extra cables but I wasn't sure if they were Molex since I see some PSU with empty sockets and some do not.
The 4690k is out of my budget as of the moment but I'll definitely look into it for a future upgrade if I don't go the i7 route by then, also thanks for the tip about the paste!
Thank you! That brought down the price to a perfect amount, how's the performance on the R9?
Any help would be appreciated TTT
