fair enough, its just a lot of people hate on win8 without actually being able to pull a reason. They just hate for the sake of hate

well at least you got the PSU for a reasonable price. Free. The only amount you should ever pay for that junk. Should change it when you get the GPU.

not to huge. Go 970 if the budget allows and upgrade the CPU later. The 6300 will hold you back a little but a good Overclock should help

there are so many WHY parts here. For example, the 500gb HDD that costs more than a 1TB similar HDD or the 60$ CPU cooler for a locked CPU

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Which of these builds is better?"

  • 1 point

fair enough point. I was trying to point it out as more powerful and thusly needing of a more powerful PSU. The point i was trying to make (and apparently failing) was that this was one big powerful full ATX pc and a mini ITX pc with very different more specialized parts

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Which of these builds is better?"

  • 1 point

as was listing it as evidence that these were different purpose builds...

did you pay absolutely no attention to my post? Because that is the only way you could come up with that comment.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Which of these builds is better?"

I feel these builds really are out for entirely different tasks. one is a mini-itx build with solid parts and everything but the other is a crossfire full ATX rig. The bigger computer will give better performance here but the smaller one has its uses should you need a smaller computer for any reason. It should really be evident that these arent for the same purpose when you see the storage and PSU differences. Double the wattage and 1/3rd the storage in the 1st one

16gb of RAM is overkill for this. I wouldve gone with only 8gb and had an HDD for extra storage but thats just me. If you got them at a lower price than what is in the list or your region had them extremely cheap and not 34$ USD than sure why not

i always forget about that huge power requirement of the 280. with the added cost of a PSU in all honesty the 960 is a better deal but still AMD FOR LIFE

Comment reply on Ropota's Completed Build: Tiny Blue Ice Box

  • 1 point

960 would be a huge jump. Personally, as an AMD fanboy (original build was AMD only) i suggest an R9 280 or perhaps even waiting until the 3xx series comes out before making any decision, seeing as a 750ti can hold its own fairly well

ill look beyond the generosity and comment on how solid of a budget build this is. Didnt realize a 730 could handle itself that well tbh but still great performance for under 400$
