As an owner of the 8700k, i can vouch and say that the cpu runs hot and is a known issue. The temperatures range but normally go above 70 with a full load unless delidded.

Not a fan of the placement of the led strips because personally i like ambiance. Nevertheless, nice build, im liking the clean look.

Great cable management for your first build! I’m glad to hear you enjoyed it, and that you are going to continue this in the future. My one piece of constructive feedback would be that for just around ten dollars more, you could have invested in the upgraded/ newer version of that case; the NZXT S340 Elite. Other than that I would say that this is a solid build :))

A big question that I have has to do with the choice of CPU. Why did you go with a two year old Haswell-E chip rather than going with a cheaper and overall better Coffee Lake chip? (i7-8700k)
