I want the case to be sealed when closed. Also, I don't feel the exhaust fans blowing on my face, even when im sitting 2ft away from the screen.

No issues at all over here, I was referring to when those drives are connected to a PCI lots, the video card will drop to 8x if the CPU only supports 16 lanes. But after some research, I found that there is no performance drop on a video card when going from 16x to 8x. Cheers!

Great build, too bad you had some hardware issues. But troubleshooting them is part of the hobbie. How was the m2 ssd? Any bandwidth issues with the 1070?

The case that I picked is 8.7in tall, providing 7.8in of inside space. The tallest components attached to the bottom plate are the pump and psu. Then it meets the radiator, fans, the top of the plexiglass, then the monitor. I'm using every mm of space from bottom to top. A smaller case would require different components or a different configuration.

thank you for your suggestion, based on my own experience (Previous career in IT), AMD has never showed the stability that Intel units do. That is why I went Intel on this one.

That's cool, I really like the chairs, but i don't like they are too low.. so even if you are not going to set up a flight sim, a structure to raise the chair would be an excellent improvement.

yes I went overkill with the power supply, but I had that in mind, I didn't want to risk it with a bronze 550W. Perhaps later I will get an additional 680, but for now I dont need it, I didn't want to pay $1000 for the 690 :S. I still prefer the 3770 over the 3570, even though HT has no effect in gaming, it still runs cooler. I know I paid for extra wattage and RAM, that perhaps I wont need right away, but I feel comfortable knowing this is a reliable and solid computer. Also, thank you for your advice.

thanks for your concern, actually I made an extensive research and decided to pick up this system for various reasons.

I am planing on overclocking my 3770k to a point a 3570k would not be as comfortable. Also it has a larger cache and Hyper-Threading, and runs cooler than the 3570K. I have had bad experiences with Gigabyte Mobos. Asus has never failed me. Neither has Corsair, that is why I picked up 16GBs or RAM of it, a very cool and efficient case, and a powerful and reliable PSU. The mouse just came with the processor and I like it a lot.

I frankly don't see where your "a lot better" comes from..

Also, in your set up you are to spend £1747.14.. is that British Pounds? that equals $2722.04 US Dollars.. so actually I spent $500 less.. is that right?
