Forum Topic "Updating the "Entry Level Gaming Build""

jinnyjuice submitter 1 point 26 months ago

I see, thanks for the reply.

What not use the i3-7100, the latest generation?

Also, I think having dual channel RAM is important. Should it be 2x4GB instead?

This implies that you're using the same browser on the same computer. Try incognito or private browsing mode or a different machine.

Let's say you go to the login page on gmail.com. You can start typing right away. If you go to the login page on ppp.com, you have to click on the username first, like how grandparents do! Haha

So are the SSD and the GPU

Forum Topic "Parts list rating: giving less rating-weight to older parts"

jinnyjuice submitter 1 point 35 months ago

I think this is true, but when sorted by rating I mean.

Also, when sorting the list by rating, clicking twice will sort from best to worst. Please make it so that it's only one click.

Forum Topic "Sort/filter by mice weight"

jinnyjuice submitter 1 point 47 months ago

Oh, right--then perhaps there could be an option to sort/filter the mice by the weights, is this a possibility in the future?

Forum Topic "BIOS Boot Time Information for Motherboards"

jinnyjuice submitter 1 point 57 months ago

Ah sorry, I should've mentioned that it would be crowd-source type of information. With people building their own computers, people can self-report their own times. Trusted users can get a star so people will know their information is more trustworthy and whatnot.

So, when a user browse through different motherboards, they can see all the builds on PPP.com and see what those builds have reported boot times.

Forum Topic "PPP Logos/Resources!"

jinnyjuice submitter 1 point 63 months ago

I was making a new tab page and I just wanted a decent logo. If you look at reddit's about, you can see that they provide guidelines for color scheme, logos, etc. here:

http://www.reddit.com/about/alien

I was wondering if same can be provided for PPP.com.

Specifically, I was wondering if I can get a higher resolution of this:

It's just that the text was really long, so I was thinking of putting the logo on top of the "PCPartPicker" text.

Cheers

Blog Post "Micro Center Bundle Support Added"

jinnyjuice 1 point 65 months ago

Hey Philip, can you put distinguishing symbols that separates Newegg deals from Micro Center deals?

Also, Having another column for Prime is just a hassle no? Why not combine the "Combo" column with "Prime" and if that part falls under Newegg combo, golden egg icon could be shown, Micro Center combo could be represented by MC icon, and Prime deal shown by a check mark.

I'd recommend the Medialink router, because we all know D-Link, Linksys, etc. all suck. It's a bit pricey at ~$50, but it's definitely much more stable, doesn't have such low speed cap, easier to use, etc.

Ah, thanks. How do you pull that link up? I tried going to mice -> filter Logitech -> ctrl + F "518" but nothing showed up.

Both! It's also to protect novice builders, where discounted items tend to be discounted quality.

Not sure if I'm missing it, but what about the combo deals/price drops from Newegg as a new feature for this site?
