Oh, these look neat! I'm checking out the video now
A pre-built might be easier, but I'm also looking to build it with him. He's always been interested and he helped me out a couple of times when I was building my gaming PC. Thanks!
Still as thorough as ever :)
Thanks, vagabond. I'll definitelly look into the Ryzen and making the HDD and SSD a hybrid. I know he won't care what gets saved where.
As far as the case, for his needs, the default fans it comes with should be good, right?
You're right! I'll look into it, thanks!
Right around the price of the current part list :)
Thanks for replying!
I haven't even built it yet :)
I put it off for a year, but I'm finally getting around to it.
Just wanted to know if there's anything better for the purpose of the machine :)
mark's the real mvp
Beat you to the punch! I checked those links out over the past couple of days.
Ok don't be late! Thanks again
Comes in on Thursday.
Thanks a ton! Just ordered it :)
Ah, balls. Can't have our cake and eat it too. I'm ordering the Mugen 5, then.
Just saw your edited note. Well, that rules it out automatically then. You're the best
That's a sexy looking cooler...
Thanks for the suggestion!
Hahaha thanks! I replied back in the PM :)
I appreciate it!
The Scythe definitely wins on clearance.
I made a new thread as the focus kind of shifted and my budget went up.
Feel free to join that one if you have more suggestions :)
Got it. I read through my motherboard's manual and it looks like I can use 2 and 4 if necessary.
Considering the fact that I have Corsair Dominator Platinum RAM (55mm), I think it's safe to say I might not be able to use the first RAM slot. I'll compare the Scythe and the Thermalright.
Thanks a ton :)
So I just got a bonus (was waiting until payday to rake in the cooler). I can definitely go higher. At that point, is an air cooler with it, or should I go for another liquid baby and pray it doesn't fail on me again?
I can go max $120, but below $100 would be nice :)
And just as I asked someone else in the thread, if I get an air cooler that screws with my first RAM slot, is it a bad thing for me to use channels 2 and 4 when channels 1 and 3 are available?
Ooh, yeah I see the issues with the clearance. Correct me if I'm wrong, but is it wrong to start on channels 2 and 4 for RAM sticks if 1 and 3 are available?
If that's the one I get, sure! I just got a bonus at work, so I might go a little higher. Not sure yet.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking for, then. The Mugen is cheaper too, so i'll pop with it. I appreciate the help, my man
The regular h100i or the v2?
Yup, you're right about the RAM clearance. I was looking at the Phanteks PH-TC12DX_BK, but I doubt I'd have the clearance on the tall Dominators.
Mugen 5 it is :)
Ooh this is a nice one. Any other suggestions you have in mind that I could compare with?
Counting my blessings! :)
We need more heroes like you. My support barely repairs, but I focus on attacking and resupplying. Love that MG15 n.a. Storm <3
Hey, not bad. Did you start recently?
Oh crap hahaha I meant allies.
Hell yeah! If you get it, add me on Origin: JVIontiago
Nope it's a boots on the ground WW1 game. No devices or whatever.
Assaults run SMGs and shotguns as well as anti tank stuff (AT mines, rocket gun, grenade, etc.)
Medics run Semi Automatic Rifles and medic stuff (syringe for reviving dead enemies, and health packs)
Supports run LMGs and ammo refills, as well as mortars.
Scouts run Sniper Rifles only and stuff like Spot Flares (similar to scan. You should a flare and the radius it covers highlights enemies on the map) and tripwire bombs.
Of course, you have special stuff like tanks, artillery trucks, and bomber planes, but you also have some special classes that you can only get in game. Look up the trench raider, sentry, and flame trooper on YouTube to get what I mean.
While the micro-transaction model was crap, I'd say that one could honestly be up there with the top with just good gameplay and skill. Sure having a gun that can one shot an enemy is good, buuut if you know how to play smart, time your moves and attacks, it's easy pz
Mechanics-wise, it's pretty similar. You have to take bullet physics into mind with BF1, though (ie. leading your shot in the direction your enemy is running to actually time a shot, but it's not that hard once you get the feel), but I get to slide in BF1 and that's all I could ask for hahahaha. It's definitely more casual than BF4, but I'd say it's a pretty nice transition.
Honestly, rook, there's no other game like it. It was too unique. For shooters, I mainly play Battlefield 1 now, but I still reminisce on GRP. It will forever be missed. Hopefully they reboot it and not put it in ******* Ubisoft Singapore haha
Oh God. T@W -_-
Aw, man. It evolved into a really good/fun game
Hahaha right on. Thanks again!
Hey, man! Thanks a lot for your input. Could my mixer serve as an amplifier/equalizer for a set of bookshelf speakers?
Oh, hell yeah man. Everything you just said.
The game was very well done. None like it before and possibly none like it ever.
I've got some recorded videos on my Youtube channel (see my profile) if you wanna relive some nostalgia haha.
But that gave was definitely one of a kind. And if you had a fireteam that knew what they were doing, you could execute great pushes and just totally dominate the other team. I definitely understood the p2w aspect, but me and my buddies dispelled that. We rolled into public games with standard gear and weapons and just mowed any and everyone down.
Were you playing during the beta or during the Phantoms era?
I know... Kinda what I put in the title and description lol
No, bro. I went through 5 months of not saying no.
Currently using a Pixel XL. Love it.
I'll take it :D
Heey! I remember you! :)
Haha nah I was there for that. I'm surprised I forgot it, bro
