I made sure the connection was snug. I wont know if that's the problem for awhile since its very random when it does it.
8.1 is just an update from 8. you can update to 8.1 from the windows store its about a 3.5gb download if i remember correctly.
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant
if you could afford i would suggest a 270 since they are very close to price wise of the 260x and 750ti.
those 2 cards are basically the same give or take 5-10% depending on each game. some games are made for amd others for nivida so each one has games that will be better than the other.
i would go with the cheapest one
the general consensus is 1 powerful card is better than 2 weaker ones. however since you are going for top of the line respectively. I would go with 2x290's they will outperform a single card.
you also need 2 of the same cards to crossfire, you cant say upgrade from a 290 to a 390 and crossfire the 390 with your 290.
the resolution you will be gaming at is a factor but unless your going with 4k you would want a 8gb card(s), 4gb is plenty for 1080-1440p.
side note and i could be 100% wrong: I believe amd is better at scaling than nivida when it comes to crossfire/sli.
I agree with Lachlantula, their keyboards are just bad. I own a death-stalker and its went to crap in under a year, some of them just don't work or are stuck(yes I took key off and cleaned it and everything and pushing it down wont let it come up).
I do however love their mice, i own a death-adder and a naga. I am left handed and they are one of the few brands who offer left handed options.
you could probably game like that idk what settings you would get however
video card ram does not add up so you wouldn't get 12gb of vram. you would still have 4. you would want a video card with 8gb of ram for 4k.
I find it annoying when they are asking about keyboards or something in the CPU section. I think you might be referring to the post who posted 2000$ build opinions in several different threads instead of just one in the pat list opinions wanted section. I am torn between that because sometimes people just don't comment on certain posts for whatever reason so i am OK with someone posting in the threads as long as they are asking about that specific item. consolidating into the 'part list opinions wanted' would be better but long as its right item in right thread nothing is wrong with it.
well I dont see any other way than to attempt to lower the price to something they will accept
old school runescape? i might know him lol
I would just show them a benchmark designed for high end computers on her computer or download crysis on his computer and be like try this.
I feel like your father is trolling you. he seems to understand computers to a certain degree and you could go with air cooling with noctua fans to keep it silent and lower the price.
side note: I know its frustrating but a air cooled PC is better than nothing.
have you tried to show them a benchmark? not a video, chart, or anything like that. use a 3dmark benchmark or heaven benchmark on her computer and show them why you want what you want.
side note: you are saying if they just pay for about 300$ you can afford the 4k build. you can easily change the psu to just as good for cheaper. drop one ssd and that Xbox controller. otherwise why buy a 70$ mouse and 130$ keyboard if your going to use a controller. I know some games are better with a controller but that build doesn't look like you plan to play old games.
just my 2 cents
use a usb 3.0 to 2.0. i used one for my case since my mobo did not have us3 either. also since it is in the back does it really matter if you cant see it?
power cooler one to.
I think you will need to lower the price for it to sell on here since the 7770 got re-branded to r7 250x and the msi version is only 60$
msi afterburner, gpu-z, hw montior(i think that one might be wrong)
you can but you wont be able to use the usb 3.0 on your mobo
a 600$ build with dual monitors is not easy if you need everything but this will play LoL fine and i cant imagine runescape is demanding.
it will happen again and again until someone calls the ghost busters
the build you linked is 929$ without changing anything. you would have to keep the i5 in it, to stay under 1k.
but if you build the tower you can get the i7 you want and a much better gpu vs a gtx 750.
this should do everything you want without a problem. i like windows 8.1 but you can just replace with windows 7.
-you could save money by getting a 1TB hdd instead of 2 and get a cheaper mobo.
this should run WoW just fine. runs my entire steam library pretty well. you said you have a outdated rig so i did not add windows.
should change your power supply its not a bad one but its 650w gold but its pretty costly you should be able to get a cheaper and i would suggest at least a 750 for a little more future proof
fm2+is for APU's but another option would be
no problem, lynda.com though costs a monthly sub but most of linus videos has a 7day trail offer to see if you would like to keep it
little over your budget but that should play mine craft no problem. the PSU is over kill but it looks like you want her to upgrade the computer next time, so a better gpu would be a good upgrade and you wont have to switch out the PSU unless you get a high end AMD card.
the parts that are missing, from what i understand, you already have if not i will retry making a parts list. as for your question with courses i wouldnt know but helpful videos to upgrade a computer would be
tek syndicate, and
all of them are youtubers and i think are pretty good at explaining
also lynda.com is good videos on certain subjects for the STEAM field. hope this helps if not sorry, i was having a hard time understanding.
AMD R9 270 would be the best for that price range. you can get one for around 100$ depending on brand
looks good but here is a better hard drive.PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant
would also suggest you look into getting a better gpu. the 270 cards are nice but it cant play all games on max.
reviews are probably the best way to tell, you can buy dust filters for a case though and if you want clean it when you think its dusty enough
it really depends on what parts you have, a case with nice dust filters wont get dust as fast as one without but i clean my computer about once a month. i probably should clean it more often, i plan to replace the case to one with dust filters on all the intakes soon.
lol i been pretty busy with college so first time i a while i have been on but wow 1.7k and i would hope so lol
i do not like the price nor do i like you trying to report comments you dislike because you charge a high build cost.
i hope you get it fixed because i have never had a problem with the one in dallas texas. even got the show case cpu when i bought mine because they were out of stock
try to reinstall the os like suggested. there should be a option when you put the cd in for a clean install
you are asking for a a lot with your budget and 85 gone this is the best i could come up with.
prebuilt pcs are normally overpriced i would suggest ebay/craigslist because you can build same system for 200$ less.
might want to lower it if you want to sell on here
i would go with specs 1. the 8570m should play lol fine. cash back im assuming is like a rebate. you would pay 375 but filling out a forum gets you 75$ back normally in a gift card to the store.
im not a big fan of refurbished laptops
could just plug a optical drive in to install the needed drives but could also download from another computer to the usb that way
np hope its fixed
could try this video
your laptops website? if not amd/intel depending on what you have in your laptop
does the laptop have 8.1? my laptop had 8 installed, i installed 8.1 and it messed up my brightness and i had to download newest video card drivers to fix it. might want to try and download latest drivers
everyone knows that, still would buy a laptop from them though but i like msi this laptop has worked great
yes its the best for its price to performance
the pcs+ runs at a slightly higher clock rate but other than that there is no difference
oh any links because all i have read was sapphire > all
sapphire, they are considered the best amd coolers
slightly over your budget but i would suggest a 270 even if its over budget it lets you get high detail in most games and still have high fps
