I can't see the image (firewalls suck, man) but in a pinch good double-sided tape can generally be used to hold down hard drives.

Forum Topic "Dual CPU Liquid Cooling"

uberlizard 1 Build 2 points 14 months ago

Yeah the H60s will mount fine. you can see on their page that they are compatible with LGA 2011. However, if there is some unforseen problem, zip ties work too ;)

Forum Topic "What are your thoughts of building houses using shipping containers?"

can you do it anywhere cold though?

(or hot for that matter, heatstroke kills too)

Try to catch it when they throw it at your house!

Forum Topic "How hard is it to replace hardware?"

uberlizard 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

i mean if your desoldering skills are excellent and you have the ability to resolder in a new bga chip then you would probably replace the cpu

Forum Topic "RGB keyboard for coding-work purposes??"

uberlizard 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

not really- a google search is all it takes.

Here's a great option from MechanicalKeyboards themselves

(the switches themselves are not RGB, due to the fact that cherry does not make RGB greens, but the lighing around the outside is RGB and looks great)

Forum Topic "RGB keyboard for coding-work purposes??"

uberlizard 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

Topre, btw

Forum Topic "RGB keyboard for coding-work purposes??"

uberlizard 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

I would NOT get blues due to their light actuation force which could lead to even more missed keypresses, but would get Cherry greens due to their heavier actuation force and tactile feedback similar to blues.

Forum Topic "Finished my build. System will not boot to bios. Shuts off after twenty seconds, then turns on again."

uberlizard 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

no, I wouldnt do that. What's more likely is that there would be a screw stuck behind the mobo tray or somewhere similar causing a short.

Forum Topic "Finished my build. System will not boot to bios. Shuts off after twenty seconds, then turns on again."

uberlizard 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

The bent CPU pin may not be perfectly fixed still. Also, if you're sure it is, check that the RAM is properly seated (take it out and put it back in). Apart from that, just check for potential short circuits anywhere.

try it with a different power cord? Apart from that, I dont think theres much to do but try to get a replacement.

Forum Topic "How to fix broken Wifi Antenna Connector Cord?"

uberlizard 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

buy a new one for sure. It's TWO DOLLARS. you'd probably spend more on the solder you'd use trying to fix it.

Forum Topic "Tower coolers for double xeon build"

it does happen sometimes, although more often with the less lucky in the silicon lottery

Forum Topic "Is Geforce Now worth it?"

yeah, thats fast. If it's got an ethernet port, then go for it.

Forum Topic "Tower coolers for double xeon build"

just curious what are you even using this for?

Forum Topic "Gaming keyboard under $15"

uberlizard 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

it has outemu browns not cherry btw

Forum Topic "Is Geforce Now worth it?"

uberlizard 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

You need fast internet to be able to do this effectively. If you don't have your mac on ethernet, then it's likely not going to be fast enough. Even if it is, many people do not have internet fast enough to use it.

Forum Topic "GTX 1070 / Ryzen 5 - Low FPS in every game"

uberlizard 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

League (of legends, not rocket) does often have a thing which caps at 60fps in windows 10. This might be fixed eventually. Also, 50fps in PUBG is not unusual from what I've seen. It's a pretty detailed game, a lot of shadows, etc. , and puts a high load on a lot of systems (for an easier to run version if you want higher FPS, try fortnite [not sponsored])

Forum Topic "Motherboard Compatability: Can this Ram work for the time being until i upgrade?"

uberlizard 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

Yeah, you should be good. Most problems with ryzen and RAM are solved by now.

Forum Topic "Really high temps"

uberlizard 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

As long as it's not thermal throttling, I would say it's not actually a problem, especially if your fan curve is set to a "Silent" or a low rpm mode.

Also- Stress tests model a higher stress than even high level games do, and temps there are not representative of in-game temps.

dont worry about it- a lot of those chinese boards make their marketing very unclear as to whether they actually use cherry mx or not just so people will buy them more

Forum Topic "Consumer Recommended Computer Peripherals Thread - the CRCPT!"

uberlizard 1 Build 1 point 18 months ago

Hate to correct you but that's not a cherry mx keyboard. It's advertised as cherry mx style and says that it uses gateron/outemu switches

Forum Topic "Using 2 different fans on the same Header?"

uberlizard 1 Build 1 point 18 months ago

I believe that that case actually comes with a fan hub on the back, and even if it doesn't you could pick one up for a few dollars. You could use a y-splitter but i believe that doesn't allow the fans to operate separately.

listen to where the source of the sound is. If its coming from the motherboards, probably somewhere near the cpu socket, its the motherboard.
