okay thanks dude nice build +1!
Hi how was the keyboard as I'm currently looking at the same one? Specifically what the switches are like as I've never used a mechanical keyboard before let alone "mem-chanical" so very curious as to what it's like for gaming and typing
This is scarily similar to my build... Same case, motherboard, power supply, CPU cooler, storage theory... Nice build though +1
Ah okay I gotcha thanks!
Hey nice build! I'm planning a pretty similar build myself, specifically the case and cpu cooler, and was wondering what it was like installing the H60 in the case as I've heard that water cooling can be tricky in the Eclipse. Love the lighting btw +1
what was the cpu cooler like?
Hi nice build, what was the case like to build in? I'm very interested in using it in my build
How easy was the case to build in? I'm planning my first build which is Black/White themed and very interested in that case. Check it out if you want http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/8NhJjX. Nice build though +1
Errrrrr......... it's an i5?
Apologies. Here in the UK it is £20 more than the box CPU hence my confusion. And cooler-wise I think it's up to you as whilst an aftermarket CPU cooler is not needed, a lower end one still might help to reduce temperatures and noise, resulting in a longer CPU life
From what I've heard the SSDNow V300 is an SSD to avoid. Try the sandisk SSD PLUS 120GB at the same price point. Other than that it's a nice build +1
^^ All great points. Also, why am OEM/tray i5-6500 when a box i5-6500 is nearly £20 cheaper and you get a cooler and warranty with it. Other than that good build for a media machine +1 from me
Nice build! +1 Only thing I would change is the motherboard as you could have gone with an MSI B150m BAZOOKA or PRO-VDH at a significantly cheaper price, with no big difference in features. Also, the BAZOOKA is more gaming orientated which is what this build is for. But still very nice for a first time build
What are those fans like for noise and cooling? Looking at getting some for a friend's build
Actually I named it after the British armed forces base in Afghanistan. But thanks! And you've got a nice build yourself, looks like you're gonna win.
Thanks! Will check yours out m9
Also feel free to check out my entry! http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/guide/yGdnTW/msi-build-your-dream-pc-guide-bastion
Oh sorry my mistake, I was in the uk and the page said your build was £1915, just looked back now and it says $1915 so no problem. Nice build btw ;)
Surely if the competition states it has to be under $2000 then it must be under the equivalent in pounds? i.e. £1380
Almost identical to what I'm planning... Judging by other comments this must be a popular set up...
Did the case really come with 4 fans pre installed? Or did you add some yourself?
+1 for the colour of the Keyboard
