Forum Topic "EKWB: EK-XLC Predator 240 and 360 (R1.0) Product recall"

zerealfrenchy 1 point 38 months ago

yup, I am using one right now. Unfortunately for me I modded it by adding a bridge to a mobo block....so draining and changing the unit is going to be a pain in the xss.

Though so far I have NO problems at all and the unit works perfect.....but under it is about 2500$ worth of parts so no choice but changing it.

:(

Nice build !

How are the temps with the gpus? I plan on using 980Ti as well but I was going to cool 'em with EK predator (buying the EVGA card already waterblocked)

how do you like you ek furious vardar fans? I am looking into the same ones but am worried about the noise level.

I am having a fan controller unit (Corsair commander mini) hoping that it will reduce noise lvls when needed. Nice build!

thank you ! to be honest, i dont know anything about OC, int ruth all i want is to be able to play any games on max settings with no issues.....then as time goes by ill upgrade as needed.

Do you think i should still invest that much into a mobo ?

Forum Topic "gaming build 2500$ first time"

zerealfrenchy submitter 1 point 41 months ago

good point for the 840/850 i must have made a mistake

For the PSU i cannot find that 175$ seasonic, everything i looked at around 1000W seems like corsair has the upper hand. Though looking around the
EVGA 1000W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply has 2 PCI connector more than the corsair for about the same price.

I don't get what you mean as for the CPU?

Also for the fans, my case hold 3 140mms (back /front bay), i will use 1 radiator for CPU cooling (if i understand right i will need 2 SP fans under and 2 on top of the radiator)

Same for my GPU cooling i will need 2 SP 120.....unless i misunderstand something.

I decided to up the build a little here is the new link.

Please feel free to review !!! :D
